Because the camera's pcb has been treated with waterproof paint, the screen should not become black when submerged. Please keep in mind that it cannot be submerged for long periods of time and is not suitable for underwater or deep water photography.
To have a complete FPV system, you'll need a video transmitter and video receiver (goggles), as well as antennas and a screen.

It has a great form factor and produces image quality that is comparable to, if not superior to, micros. The best part is how they were able to achieve such a small form factor; the distance from side to side is identical to that of other nano cams. The distance between the back of the camera and the front of the lens, on the other hand, is about 1mm shorter than on other nanos. This may not seem like much, but it can make a big difference when fitting it into a small space. Last but not least, I must say that this camera has performed admirably. In the 5in fleet, they've taken a lot of punishment and have held up admirably. You've come to the right place if you're looking for a camera for a drone of any size.
For a small camera, the image quality is quite good. When it gets dark and there are no street lights or if you are in a parking lot, the image becomes unflyable. Although it is not a night camera, it outperforms the majority of nano cameras in its class. The extra money spent on a great daytime camera is well worth it.
The latency on this camera is incredible and it's a joy to look through. Since it got stuck on top of a big tree, I've been missing mine a lot.
This product was used in the construction of my first drone. The camera works great, though I wish they included mounts because the camera is too small to mount to a 5" freestyle quad on its own. It's also very durable; I've only crashed it once as of writing this review.
