This kit is already included with Ring Cameras, so don't waste your money; I returned mine.
It came in a puzzle-like format with a lot of pieces. I finally got frustrated and had to call a friend who owns about ten ring cameras to come over and help me put it together correctly. Thankfully, he had a power drill (which I didn't) and drilled the screws for the mount. It feels as if you are holding a screwdriver at the bottom cover so I can take the battery out to charge it. The two positions of the screwdriver are all at ease, whereas you CANNOT hear the camera FLOPS down when charged. I'm finally able to see about a third of what I want in the cameras, but I'm too frustrated to continue LANMU. Your mounts are FREAKIN' AWESOME!.
used in conjunction with a Ring stick-up camera Three screws were used to secure it beneath the soffit. Mine didn't come with screws, but I used my own and it worked fine.
Camera will not be held properly. These brackets are awful, cheap, and a complete design flaw. They won't be able to hold the camera properly, and any wind will blow it down due to their poor grip. I'm not sure why anyone gave this more than one star - I'm not sure what you're talking about. Please understand that I am a legitimate reviewer, an actual person who purchased this product on Amazon, and I am telling you the truth: do not buy this faulty designed product unless you enjoy constantly having to adjust your camera every time the wind blows, and good luck changing your camera battery with this bracket because it is a nightmare. It would be better to cut a piece of wood at a 45-degree angle and screw it in instead of screwing the camera to it.
This is a fantastic product that does exactly what it says it will. I noticed a couple of negative comments and would like to address them. Before mounting it, you'll need to use plastic anchors. Particularly impressive is the stucco. If you don't use the anchors every time you touch the camera, it'll rip out and leave even bigger holes. The indoor outdoor stick up Cam does not come with the wall mount, as another reviewer stated, but it is a good price and comes with two, which is a plus. It's made of a light plastic, but I'm confident it'll last a long time.
This is a fantastic item. My perspective has vastly improved! This purchase has made me extremely happy! Customer service is excellent; they respond quickly and provide excellent service. Please do not be hesitant. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to assist you.
"Cheap piece of plastic" was my first impression when I took it out of the box. Plastic Easter eggs are made from the same material. The ball joint is also of poor quality, is difficult to lock down, and I am concerned that it will eventually wear loose and droop. This is a generic mount I bought for my ring cameras, so keep in mind that the mount's dimensions limit the camera's angle. It will work fine if you mount it to a flat ceiling, but if you mount it under a sharply angled soffit, the camera will face downward and you won't be able to adjust the angle. My camera angle isn't perfect, but it's good enough that I won't have to return it. I got everything set up, and they're working for the time being, so we'll see how things go. You get what you pay for, but I'm not sure I'd recommend them; I just wish they were a little more solid and maneuverable.
I recently purchased a Ring Security System for my home and wanted to add cameras to the system. Previously, $20 had been used. 40 wifi cameras that worked fine but did not integrate with Ring and did not have cloud storage (only a local memory card). But I despised the fact that the Ring and Cloud cams were all overpriced at $100. Then they released a smaller plugged-in version of the Ring stick-up cam for a more reasonable price. br>br>I bought one to use with Amazon Key and it works perfectly. The resolution and field of view of the picture are excellent. It also has excellent motion detection and image capture capabilities. At half the price of an Amazon Cloud Camera, this is an excellent addition to any security system.
