Yes, I've only used it in that mode since I first got it. The AC Power has yet to be used.
It's excellent. I suppose it varies depending on where you live. My 90-year-old mother was overjoyed when I gave her this radio. FM stations in New York, Philadelphia, and Princeton have good reception in her area of Central New Jersey.
It is in the District of Columbia. It has the ability to run on electricity.
I believe you should take a closer look at those dimensions. There is no mention of the number 22. 8x7. 8x10. Inches are used to measure all of the dimensions. That is, in fact, a rough estimate. In centimeters, the dimensions are given. Further down the page, the dimensions in inches are listed, and they are 3. 23 x 9. 21 x 4. 8 inches.

This is an excellent radio station. I live on the outskirts of town, far away from any radio stations. I was looking for a radio that could pick up weak AM stations. I used to own a Grundig and a Sangean radio, both of which were significantly more expensive than this Panasonic. This radio does a much better job of picking up weak stations. The sound quality is also superior to that of the previous radios. I'm a Panasonic customer who is happy with the product.
It appears that I received a used return, but that has no bearing on my review. I had already done a separate review of the seller. br>br>I can stream two AM stations that are about 30 miles away from my office, but the lag, as well as streaming companies that just don't do a good job, can be annoying at times. As a result, I decided to purchase an AM radio to place in my office. br>br>I used to have one, an older one, that worked perfectly until it died after many years. So I know I can get a good, clear signal in this exact office, but not this one. br>br> It was the least enjoyable of the two I'd tried so far. For a station that my older AM radio picked up so well, the reception was poor and there was a lot of noise. And one of the two stations I listen to on other radios was nearly impossible to pick up at all, let alone clearly. Even though there was far too much static on the other station, I was able to hear and understand what they were saying. My search continues. br>br>.
I bought two of these radios two weeks apart, both of which were defective. They both played for 20 minutes before switching on and off every few minutes in one case and every 10 seconds in the other. I returned both and will purchase another brand, as Panasonic has disappointed me. They used to have a really cool name. I own a Panasonic radio that I purchased while serving in the army in 1963. My grandson dropped it a few years ago, but it still worked perfectly. What is going on with Panasonic?.

I work as a DJ on the radio. A HAM radio operator as well as a technician. A small AM/FM radio was what I was looking for. There are tens of thousands of them in the world. This radio received rave reviews, both in print and on YouTube. For $28, that's a good deal. 00 I was willing to take a risk. The sound quality of this four-inch speaker astounded me! It doesn't sound like something I'd expect from a low-cost radio. In my life, I've owned a variety of radios, both large and small. I've never had a better small radio. The tuning dial has large, easy-to-read numbers, which I like. The volume is controlled in a smooth and adequate manner. I usually use batteries because there is less interference and I like how portable they are. The tuning was smooth, and I was able to easily pick up the station I wanted. But first, let's talk about the reception, which is mentioned in almost every one-star review. Although the radio's circuits play a role in reception, signal strength and distance from the station are the most important factors. Due to its lower frequency, AM radio transmission has a greater range than FM, and you may be able to pick up distant stations at night. So, if you're out of range of your radio station, don't blame it on the radio. There's one more thing to be aware of when it comes to reception. The antenna on top is only for FM reception. Because the AM antenna is a wire coil inside the radio, moving it around will help improve AM reception. It also has a tuning light, which I like. I haven't seen one of these in a long time, but it turns on when there's a good signal. These were first used as a tuning aid in old radios from the 1930s; there isn't much noise when tuning around the band, and there isn't much noise during volume control, which is a sign of good circuits. Panasonic has always been a reliable partner for me.
This radio is absolutely incredible! One of the best buys I've made in a long time. I'm a radio junkie, and as I work in and around my house, I'm constantly moving the radio around. I needed to replace my old radio, so I decided to give this one a try. It appeals to me. The carrying handle has a small dimple in the middle that allows me to loop one finger around it and carry it around. The audio is good; the AM band is a little bassy, and a hi/low tone switch would be nice, but it's not a deal breaker. I just wanted to bring it up as an issue. br>br>The sensitivity is impressive; I'm about 50 miles away from the nearest FM stations, and this radio pulls them in. with the antenna in the down position Of course, the antenna is necessary for the weaker stations, but otherwise, this is fantastic. On FM, the audio has a wide range and is pleasant to listen to. The AM sensitivity is just as good. br>br> This radio works just as well as my old vacuum tube radios at receiving stations. This was also unexpected. br>br>This radio is great for use inside, outside, and around your home or yard, with plenty of volume and the appearance of being durable. It appeals to me greatly. I'm even considering purchasing a second one just to have on hand as a backup. I give it my highest recommendation.
