It says 32GB, but the card I received is only 16GB. It took me a long time to figure out everything I needed to get music on it and playing, so I'll go over it again here to save others time. The docking of one star is due to the fact that it comes with a 16GB micro SD card, despite the listing's description stating 32GB. br>br> It's worth noting that the instructions refer to it as 16GB. Order a separate SAMSUNG EVO Select 64GB (or larger) microSDXC card if you want to use it right away, because 16GB won't get you very far. br>br>In my photo, the left side is what you get, with the exception of the ear buds, which are not shown. Everything I needed to get this thing up and running was on the right side. br>br>I have a macbook pro with no USB port, so the white USB adaptor is necessary; however, if you have a computer with USB, you're fine. However, you'll need a microSD card adapter (which comes with the Evo Select model I mentioned earlier). The photo shows the product in green packaging. br>br>So the micro SD card is inserted into the SD adapter, which is then inserted into the high-speed SD Card reader (the black thumb drive-like device in the photo), which has a USB port on one end and can be plugged into your computer. br>br>We then used music from the Mac Music Library or iTunes, but because it's all in m4A format, it had to be converted to MP3 before being saved to the SD card (you'll see it appear on your desktop once plugged in). To have some fun, look up how to convert M4A files to MP3 on a Mac. Finally, because I was sending this to camp with my daughter and it was completely tech-free except for MP3 music, I needed to purchase an Amazon Basics USB to standard plug wall charger. br>br>If you plan to use it with a Mac computer, it will work, but it will take a long time to convert files from m4A to mp3. I'm not sure how long it'll last, but we'll see.
Don't throw your money away on this piece of garbage. 8 GB of music has been loaded. I started playing music, paused it, and then went to turn it back on, but nothing happened. The screen then stated that either the disc was bad or that there was no disc. I took the card out and replaced it. Nothing. Hooked it back up to the laptop and told it to format the card; when I tried to do so, the laptop said the action could not be completed. This piece of garbage was thrown out right away. If you don't want to waste your money, don't buy. What a waste; at the very least, I only squandered $7 in rewards. That was a waste of time. Spend a little more to get a better product.
I'm a School Bus Driver, and I needed to keep my two daughters (6 and 3) occupied during our multiple 3-hour bus rides. 4 hour shifts are available. Last year, we used books and coloring books, but crayons inevitably flew everywhere, making cleanup a chore. br>br>While we don't have a lot of screen time, they enjoy listening to podcasts, so I started looking for an MP3 player. This one simply couldn't be beaten in terms of price and GB! It's a huge hit with them, and it's a big hit with me as well. The headphones that come with it are terrible, but this little MP3 player packs a punch in terms of sound and storage! There are 49 podcasts and 4 songs (SN: ) available right now. I need to find a new podcast because odd numbers irritate me) and there's still 13GB left! br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. The navigation is incredibly perplexing. The left and right arrows function normally, but the "M" is used to select the menu, so I tell my daughters that "M" stands for "Make the Selection. " The center button serves as "Pause/Play" when you're in "Music. " The center button is useless apart from that. There are also no photos in the album. My oldest isn't bothered by this, but my youngest has to sift through 50 MP3 files to find the one she wants, lol.
It arrived promptly and in excellent condition. This player is exactly what it says on the tin. It's simple to put music on it and the sound quality is excellent. Before I have to recharge, I get almost 20 hours of play time. It's simple to recharge, just plug it into a usb port (cable is included) and it lasts 3 days at work for me. br>At first, figuring out the various modes of play can be difficult. For example, the Random Play feature only works within a single folder that contains multiple songs. So I made a single folder on my PC, added all of my songs one by one, and then transferred it to my MP3 player. So far, I've got 197 songs on it, and there's still room for more! (I purchased the 32g version)br>The only thing that would improve it in my opinion is if it had a display list of all my songs from which I could choose; otherwise, I am satisfied with my purchase.
MP3 playback and FM receiver are both excellent. Although the user interface was a little wonky (you could only get to the mode menu by turning off and on again), the rest of the interface and USB transfer functions were flawless. The case is made of metal. Of course, there's no touch screen, but that's what my expensive ipod nano's touch screen finally gave up on, and this is a perfectly functional and inexpensive replacement. I'm used to the different user interface now that I've used it a few times. I haven't put the battery to the test yet, but it appears to last a long time.
But then. After 12 hours of work, I decided to call it a day; what a waste of money!.
