Questions & Answers

What can I use it for if I want to digitize old cards Can I use the headset jack to send the voice in my computer so that I can transfer these cassettes? I have 30 microcassettes that I need to convert. ?

The long and short of it is It has a microphone and a headphone jack with a size of It is 5mm, so you will need a converter (3. 5.2mm) to fit the audio line input on your computer. Depending on what software you choose, you'll probably have to record from that line (Audacity is free and has a good sound). I will give you the short Yes, you should.

Would I be able to buy ear buds for the ?

With the Olympus S701, you can connect earphones through the input jack. For earphones with a 2mm jack, they are the correct size. A 5mm jack is available.

Can anyone tell me what headphones you need to use ?

It is not possible to connect headphones or microphones to any of the Olympus recorders because the jacks on the recorders are made in other countries and do not fit any of the American-made recorders. I contacted the company back in the day because I really needed a microphone to fit they admitted that they were aware of the problem but they would not recall the products because it was easy to get an adapter overseas. I got mine but it was expensive and did not work. Although these Jacks plug in and work great with the recorder, they are no longer manufactured and are therefore non-functional. Because of this, you have no choice but to accept the recorder as it is or return it, Olympus recorders are fine, but if you need headphones or a microphone, choose another brand. Thanks and best of luck!

Can it play a particular type of tape? It is somewhat larger than the Maxwell MC-4 tapes that I want to digitize. They are Phillips 0005 tapes with a recording speed of 24k. 60 hours?

MP3 and MC cassettes Labeled 90, this tape is part of the collection.

Excellent product, works great, can find it used, just as good as new, without paying over the odds! I was able to receive my item in a timely fashion, and the program works perfectly
5/5

The brand I bought from, gave me a good price, and looking for a brand like this now, these are overpriced, for new, (in my opinion), this is an analog device, and a lot of us, are still using analog time, rather than I would personally snap that brand up if you are able to find it used for a low price, and from a trustworthy seller. Meetings can be recorded, or if you already have any of these old tapes from your past, they should play. You can walk down memory lane while reminiscing.

It is great to be old- This is the school recorder
5/5

There are digital recorders out there, and I have a few of them. There are also legacy analog tapes I have and I want a recorder in case I need to play them. I have taken the records and converted them to digital files but sometimes you just want to listen to the originals, just like you may want to listen to your mom's favorite record from decades ago. Also, with digital devices, there can be a tendency for buttons to be outdated and We don't need to complicate things here. You are in forward motion. We are in reverse motion. This is it. It's easy to keep track of everything that's happening. This device runs on batteries, so you can keep spares on you and switch them out immediately when you run out. It looks good, and the quality is good. No matter where you are, you can take it with you. A hike or a road trip, whatever your preference, a good book is a great companion. This product is well recommended to people who don't want to use the digital option for whatever reason, or for those who have analog tapes they wish.

Excellent recorder for a reasonable price
5/5

I purchased this recorder for my father, who is 87 years old and needed something easy to use that was high quality for his price range. I tested it myself and was able to show him how to use it successfully. (The technology may be difficult for older people) This keyboard has large enough buttons for his fingers, and he was able to figure out how to use it without much difficulty. Due to his age, he sometimes misses hearing things when he's at home, so he uses it for bible studies so he can listen to it later when he gets home. It also keeps him occupied with something to do and he is now talking out loud more often thanks to his new toy. I think I should have stayed away from buying it (maybe I shouldn't have). As a result, my brother sent him a digital copy, but I knew it wouldn't work. The problem is too complex. You can use this recorder at the office, or at home to read out loud essays or memoirs. You will appreciate the fact that the recordings are of average to good quality.

I was very impressed with the recording quality and ease of use of this microcassette recorder
4/5

It is very simple to use, and I was very surprised at the price. Despite being lightweight and portable, it is still very stable. In general, the 2 AA batteries it uses last a long time. If you notice that the sound quality has been diminished, the batteries probably need to be replaced. One problem I have is that I have ear bud set and headphone sets where the 'out' ear connection hole is too small for both. If you plan to use headphones with the recorder, be aware that not all headphones or earbuds will fit. It isn't an issue for me since I don't use these often, but if you are planning to use them, just keep that in mind. Apart from that, I am extremely pleased with the quality of this recorder, its ease of use, and its affordability.

Recorder that records to microcassettes very well
4/5

- If you need an application to record conversations There are times when the sneaky plumber or the sly utility man tries to snoop on you and it's not fun. There is no need to look If you want a goldcorder, the Olympus Pearlcorder S701 will do the job. With this recorder I have had for several years now I think it still works fine. It fits in your pocket and can be used where ever you go. Despite its size, it is capable of picking up on There is a fair amount of clarity in what people are saying That can be done with a recorder in my pocket. I am constantly amazed by this. This is a very simple and easy website to use. You can fast forward and rewind videos in many ways. There is nothing not to like about this recorder. It is simple and easy to operate. My rating used to be 5 stars and I would say that the price was reasonable, but I see that it has been raised by 10 dollars since I purchased it 2 years ago, so I am lowering it to 4. As a result, I do not consider this a 'great' buy any longer. It gets a 5 out of 5. The price is high at $35, but the buy is good. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Unit that has been replaced with a defective one
3/5

The item had to be returned. The item is listed as new out of the box, however it has no warranties or guarantees attached. There was no way to rewind. Although I can't speak to the quality of the Olympus Pearlcorder, I can recommend it to you.

Having read other reviews before purchasing this product, it appears that most of them are So whenever I thought of $19, I thought of 19. Although it isn't perfect, I won't lose much by taking it even if it isn't up to snuff. The little things do come in great packages, because I was blown away by this! I like how easy it is to use, and how clear the sound is My heart is full of joy. For anyone needing a microcassette player but having a hard time affording a lot of money, this is what they need!.
