I opened the box, however, and the iPod's screen had a spot (which I thought I could live with) and the battery had stopped charging, so I had to throw it out. Whenever I would charge it (sometimes all day long), then go to play it, it would only stay on for about three songs before suddenly shutting Neither the product nor the packaging indicated it was refurbished it was simply labeled as "new". An item such as this (at that price) would not be worth buying online, I'd recommend going to the store so you can actually see what you're buying.
Using the iPod as intended worked perfectly. The seller was courteous and helpful with questions I had, and was able to assist me without any problems. I found everything to be in line with the seller's description. It is so easy to use the iPod touch that it feels like I'm carrying around another phone - none of those extra apps are needed when I merely want an Apple.
Sadly, I had to return this product after it lost a charge. The seller did not return my requests to see if he could fix it or exchange it, and I have no idea how it ended up not working. After I purchased this item for a trip that I planned, it was already charged and working, so I put it aside until I went on my trip, at which time it lost its charge, I tried to plug it in to charge it, but I couldn't. Apple's Touch is a more modern product and would be a better replacement for these outdated iPod Classics. It is only a bright spot that Amazon reimbursed me.
Obviously I purchased a refurbished item, but I don't want to complain.
However, this particular unit has some bugs. Most of the time, I have to put it in disc mode before my computer believes it exists, and sometimes I have to do it multiple times before it finds it. There are times when the video stops playing without being touched in any way. The wheel has to be pushed with so much pressure to scroll or adjust volume that it takes another feather worth of pressure to Although I'm glad to have it, I'm still grateful However, there is still no difference between my friend's friends and mine.
I got it as a replacement for one I obtained in 2007 and it works amazing The sound is better than my old MacBook. I can connect it to my MacBook and it recognizes it as an Apple device. I will report any changes as soon as possible.
I really enjoy using this iPod. This was a great find for me.
