Questions & Answers
NO ! To work properly, the CB radio requires a resonant antenna at the output frequency (27MHZ). The stock antenna has a resonant frequency in the FM broadcast band (roughly 100 MHz). As a result of the mismatch, the SWR will be extremely high, and the CB will quickly burn out.
Be aware that the cable I had did not extend all the way to my radio. This resulted in a sloppy connection.

As a jumper, it's used to connect the SWR/field strength inline.
Eventually, one end was cut off and replaced.
Shipping was also quick. Thank you very much.
