I'm not sure how I feel about the MFJ stuff. I've possessed it long enough. These were purchased for a parallel fan dipole build, and I chose this style in the hopes of avoiding coupling with the wet mastrant rope. br>br>I got mine from Gigaparts. It's good to know that gigahertz shipping costs can be avoided.
This is a good product that appears to be built to last a long time, if not forever.
I used these at home for my Shortwave long wire antenna, and they worked perfectly.
You'll need these if you're going to make antennas. Quality and durability outperform plastic at this price point.
Although it appears to be great in the photo, I received it in a single package rather than in two! However, six of the insulators in one package have fractures, resulting in significant damage. Because ceramic, like glass, is a very delicate material.
Excellent quality, ideal for use as a dipole antenna insulator.
For new hams, 10 meter tripoles must be completed.
