Questions & Answers

The charging time of a 6 is about an hour and a half. Does the flexvolt battery have a capacity of 0 Ah?

A 6Ah Dewalt battery is charged at 3 AMPS, so it takes two hours instead of 20 minutes, not even an

Which voltage does the power source use, 110-230 volts or 230 volts Is 220 correct?

Any slide in feature battery type from any recent DeWalt model in this machine can be used with standard house current (110 volt). You can run your radio from 20 volts to 60 volts. If the radio is plugged in and you have batteries in it, the radio will charge the batteries.

This is an HD radio, right?

I have a HD radio with an equalizer, and it has HD features as well. I also bought my DCR025 from Amazon on 12/16 and the on/off button didn't work I called the customer service department and they called DeWalt on my behalf. I dropped off the tool at Dewalt for repair as soon as they contacted me back. A manufacturer defect agreement is in place at Amazon for 3 years. It just took me an hour to unpack a brand new radio. A good reason to buy off Amazon is that it is cheap. I had bought at Home Depot or Lowe's, I would have been covered by their 90 day warranty.

Leave it in the rain at all costs
3/5

As a diehard fan, I'm here for life Although I'm a DeWalt guy, I do not like the way this radio takes in The weather was bad for a few hours, so I left it in the rain. I don't remember what angle it was at, but I don't remember caring It was my expectation that DeWalt would at least make the tool water-resistant. When I picked it up and carried it around, I could hear water sloshing around inside. It works, but I am not sure how long it will last. To find out where the drain hole should be drilled, I'd like to call DeWalt tech support. I will update when I am able. Update

They responded immediately) and the rep told us that the radio is not weather resistant and that, since there is water inside, that voids the Additionally, he was unsure of where to drill a drain hole. So it's probably going to take 3 hours to crack the case, work on cleaning it, and then test it. There is a lot of talk about this radio being rugged for working on a job site (and I assume outdoor use) but it is not waterproof. A brief update It did recover from the flood last season without drilling, but this season it suddenly ceased to work. The device is stuck in BlueTooth mode and won't let me switch to another mode once I switch it on. Not so rugged after all. I'd like to draw your attention to another totally different feature that doesn't sit well with There is an inverter inside this device that powers the outlets on the side. I have never used the outlets. This is why it is so heavy. In my opinion, the DCR028 will be lighter, and the inverter and charger will no longer be necessary since it is half the weight and size. There is just one more thing I have to do - remember to take a separate charger or put one on.

It is weak on both sides
3/5

In 2 weeks, I had my cell phone charging out of the side plugs when I slid it off the couch, it fell about one foot, breaking the side plugs. The fact that this is a 200 dollar game is kind of a flaw, in my opinion.

A static charge occurs when the battery is charged
3/5

The radio I just purchased is basically the same as the Dewalt radios I've possessed in the past. Everything works fine with the bluetooth. That sounds pretty good to me. There is a problem with the radio in that the speaker has static when it is being used to charge a battery. When you're using Bluetooth, it doesn't do this it only happens when you're listening to FM radio. Since I listen to Pandora via the radio when I'm by myself, it doesn't matter how big the speaker system is. I will simply use a regular charger to keep my batteries charged while I'm working on a job so I can still listen to FM radio. I feel as if that undermines the point of having a battery-powered You are not affected if you are using a battery (without 120V power connected) to listen to your radio. When working in an environment where there is no power or convenience, I often use a battery.

It would be better if the sound quality were better, and the wire from the radio would need to be unplugged
3/5

Although I am unlikely to have used a bottle opener much (as others have commented), I did not have a bottle opener. There is a decent level of sound quality, but it is Although I had not expected more given the high price, I do The display is only good if you look at it directly at a perpendicular angle. The heavy material probably adds durability to the product. Since I use other DeWalt tools, I wanted a radio that could run off batteries, especially since having battery operation was key to my consideration for buying a new radio for outside I would have liked to have the electrical wire easily detached from the body When you use the battery, you don't need to carry around the wire and have to roll it up. Although it is cheaper) but I still keep it because it's compatible with other tools' batteries.

It's a good product, but there is false advertising from the The radio I just received arrived
4/5

Here are the bad things Having read the online advertising, I'm glad the radio is tough as advertised, because the condition of the box looks like it's been tossed Take a look at the pictures. Clearly there must have been damage before shipping, because the outside shipping box showed no sign of damage. According to the advertisement, my radio did not come with a "bonus" bottle opener. It appears that I should have been given a price adjustment since I did not receive a bonus. A BIT OF Despite the volume being quite high, the sound is quite good. For the most part, the display is okay, but it doesn't seem to offer a lot of viewing options. Using Bluetooth, I was able to pair my phone quickly and easily. The range has not yet been checked. In terms of the product, I'm happy. However, I don't like the seller due to false marketing. As needed, I will update this post.

I could hear the audio perfectly but the radio does not tune in
3/5

As I received the box with no protection or foam, it was slightly damaged. In spite of the fact that I thought it worked, it is scratched and scuffed. I suspect that it was a returned item and not a new one. It is clear that this may have been a returned unit based on the LED display's faintness. Although the audio seems to be good, the radio does not tune into but a few stations (I got it for the BT).

It wasn't long before it died! I use this only occasionally at home to listen to music, but the knobs on the front panel do not work! A dewalt repair shop will have to take me an hour away to see if the tool can be repaired, I just spent a lot of money on it
3/5

The Dewalt products are usually great. Don't spend your money on anything else!.

This is heavy duty
5/5

It's one of those 20 Volt series tools you simply can't live without. I love bluetooth because it's easy to switch between volume and music Besides your ISP, you also have other controls Use the telephone. There is a good level of overall sound quality in this system. Basic operations are displayed on an illuminated blue display. There is also a max volume level of 30 shown for the volume. Please don't expect it to blow your mind. Ion Pathfinders aren't as powerful as my Ion Pathfinders. However, most job site applications require very little memory, so this should be sufficient. Designed to be durable and easy to handle, it features a heavy duty construction that is easy to grip. A variety of settings can be used. A big compartment on the lower part of the case can hold both your phone and wallet It involves cable. This is what the Equalizer sounds like and how you can use it A USB charger makes this device even more appealing.
