This was bought for a UV monitor I have. A witch has 5 stars in their eyes. The battery pack (not the car battery) comes with 6 new units for an average 4v operation. Consequently, batteries that power a 2 volts rechargable chip will not even turn it on, since every 6 batteries is a 7 volts rechargable chip won't even turn it on, since 6 batteries is 7. If you are using a second series rechargables, you must use regular voltages. Batteries from 5V.

Although excellent, my experience feels somewhat fragile. I love the fit of my F8HP with it. Whenever I need power, my power to the radio will still work even when it is off. Although I do not intend to use this battery specifically for emergency preparedness, it is also an option if I need to charge my phone. As someone without the capability to carry a charger, I am quite lazy to bring one. As I have said earlier, I find the fit and ease of replacing the batteries to be satisfactory.
