Yes, it comes with low-yield starter ink cartridges, but there are no replacement ink cartridges for this model as of October 2020. I looked in all the usual places, including HP. I bought this printer in February of 2020, and it served me well until I ran out of ink. To be able to print, I'll need to buy a different brand now.
Yes, it is possible. A USB printer cable is used to connect. You'll also need to connect to a landline phone jack if you want to send faxes.
What exactly is the meaning of duplex?
On an Asus computer, I'm having scanning problems. It works fine in some cases, but then fails to scan 5 minutes later. With all of the error pages it's printed, I've used up the majority of my ink. After 30 years of using HP printers, this is the first time I've had a problem with one. It's possible to get ink for it on Amazon.

Except for the very specific way people use printer/scanners these days, this is a well-designed, great-looking, and great-functioning printer. I don't print nearly as much as I used to, but I do scan a great deal. When I scan, I scan directly from the printer to the computer, then return to the computer to organize all of the scanned documents. br>br>This printer does not yet support Macs, so you'll have to scan to your email (complicated). Use their mobile app (which is less clumsy) or their website (which is more straightforward). clumsy, but still an annoyance). These are their new top-of-the-line, not-to-be-missed items. Models that are inexpensive but lack the most basic functionality for today's workplace. My printer and computer are not close to each other, and they don't need to be, which is why I like being able to scan directly from the printer. br>br>After searching online and chatting with HP support, I finally spoke with someone after going through their terrible automated customer service line, and he said that the functionality will be added, but that the software for it hasn't been completed yet. I'm not sure when that day will come, so don't buy this printer if you need to scan directly from the printer to your Mac and don't want to deal with the clumsy workaround. br>br>When HP releases new software, I'll update my review.
This printer is quite small, but it packs a punch in terms of functionality. Because I don't have a lot of room in my office, this printer is ideal. When I plugged into my computer (Windows 10) the required drivers were automatically detected and installed. I was able to print a few pages in a short amount of time, and I can tell you that the print quality is excellent, and printing is very quiet. I was also able to connect to my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S10) and print a document directly from it, which is pretty cool. A small number of cartridges were included with the printer. I scanned a couple of 4x6 postcard photos, and OMG, the scanned photos are even better than the original printed photos. This is the scanner I've been looking for to digitize all of my old 4x6 photos. I've decided what I'm going to do this weekend. And, unlike my old scanner, this one doesn't take long; it might have taken 1 minute. Scanning a photo takes about 5 seconds. I haven't tried any of the other features yet, but this printer has already blown me away. I'll keep researching and updating the review as time goes on. Mobile printing is, so far, my favorite feature.
HP has never let me down, and with each new printer, they improve even more. The OfficeJet Pro 8025 is a well-designed printer that isn't overly large and meets all of my requirements. The installation is simple: plug the printer into an outlet, turn it on, install ink, and load paper, then go to the printer software download page. The touch screen is a good size, is bright, and is simple to operate. The printing process is quick, quiet, and produces excellent results. Scanning, copying, and faxing are all flawless. The Smart app is the best and most user-friendly printer app I've ever used. You can see everything you need to know about the printer's capabilities, including your current ink level. This configuration works flawlessly on three laptops, two iPhones, and an iPad. I also like the Smart app's print anywhere feature, which is very useful. I've been using instant ink for a while and highly recommend it because it has helped me save a lot of money. Replacing my printer on my account was a breeze, and best of all, my rollover pages were transferred over, and I received an additional four months of instant ink for free.
I really wanted to like this printer, but it keeps losing its WiFi connection and turning itself off. You won't be able to print after that. It's rumored that it has self-healing abilities. Is Wifi capable of healing? In any case, my Epson printer, which is five years old, never lost connection. There are no other devices in my house that are crashing. Only this brand-new HP printer is available.
I got it up and running, and I put it to the test with my iPhone. It worked perfectly and I was able to put it to the test on my iPad. It worked perfectly and I was able to put it to the test on my MacBook Pro. utter nonsense br>br>I followed all of the instructions and downloaded the driver, but it still wouldn't connect to the same WiFi. It would send the information to the printer, but it wouldn't recognize it; after a few minutes, it began printing slowly, printing 3/4 of the last page before spitting out the rest of the paper. br>br>I called support and agreed to let them remotely control my computer in order to change the settings; after a half hour of him messing around on my computer, he concluded that the printer was faulty, and I was furious. He suggested that it might be my Mac's driver. br>br>So they sent me a replacement, and I'll update my review once I get it set up and give it another shot. br>br>It does everything else fantastically well except print from a MacBook. br>br>UPDATE 6/6/19br>Printer is in excellent condition! It turned out that it wouldn't work because I was using 5G instead of 2G. 4G. I had no idea that this was the first printer I'd ever purchased. I suppose the more information you have, the better. However, the printer is once again outstanding.
I bought this printer with the expectation of good print quality; however, the colors are cloudy, the images are not crisp and clean, and they are a little fuzzy. The disadvantage of buying from Amazon is that re-ordering is a huge pain. I should've gone to Best Buy to get a box and return the printer. I would have preferred not to give a rating at all.
Print quality is excellent, document scanning is excellent, and document faxing and emailing are excellent. It is simple to print directly from a smartphone. It took me less than 15 minutes to set up the printer and connect it to the network. I couldn't refuse it for the price. It'll be well worth your time.
