Questions & Answers

Is it Windows 7 compatible?

The software, as well as the troubleshooting software, did not install on my Windows 7 laptop. 5-minutes of my time were wasted. I spent 6 hours on the phone with HP Support trying to get this to work and eventually gave up. I believe this is the worst purchase I have ever made, but perhaps I overlooked something: ) Working with the support staff was difficult. I'm not going to buy another HP product.

Is it possible to print from a Chromebook using this printer?

Yes. It is compatible with Chromebooks.

What are the dimensions of the pictures produced? Which one is the tiniest? Which one is the biggest?

It's compatible with my Apple, and I'm running High Sierra right now.

Counterfeit HP ink cartridges are available from HP
3/5

The HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer has dissatisfied me greatly. I installed the ink cartridges that came with it after setting it up. With the help of an HP technician, I was able to resolve a minor setup issue. This individual persuaded me to join the Instant Ink program. I went ahead and signed up for the course. Replacement cartridges showed up a few weeks later. Naturally, the black ink cartridge was the first to run out, so I replaced it with the Instant Ink cartridge. The printer informed me that the ink cartridge I was using was a COUNTERFEIT, and that continuing would void the warranty. I bought and installed a $40 HP 64XL cartridge. The process of alignment was unsuccessful. I contacted HP once more, and they informed me that the purchased cartridge would not align as long as the printer was enrolled in the Instant Ink program. I finally got through to Instant Ink and was told that they would un-block my account. My printer needs to be registered. Attempts to align the cartridge have so far been unsuccessful. When I checked the printer's status, I discovered that the color cartridge (which came with the printer) was also a COUNTERFEIT. This calls into question HP's integrity, as well as the Instant Ink Program in particular. I would never advise anyone to use an HP product.

Setup is simple and straightforward
5/5

I told my husband how much I despise setting up printers before I even opened the box. Even though I am technically savvy, I find that setting up a printer is never simple. I think they're odd, and there's always something wrong with them. I expected this to be a major pain in the neck, but I had no choice but to complete it. To say I was surprised was an understatement. I waited until halftime because I knew it would take me half the day, and I had it set up and printing in ten minutes. It prints from my computers, my phones, and my iPads, among other devices. I can say that the print isn't quite as dark as it was with my Canon Pixma (pain in the neck printer), but I'll take a little less quality for the ease of setup and the fact that it doesn't matter so much for what I do. Although this is not a laser printer and does not print at the same speed as a laser printer, the photo quality was excellent, and the print quality was adequate for my needs. It came with a manual, and I was able to navigate through all of the menus without difficulty. The scanner menu appeared without issue on my computer, though it took a few seconds to warm up, which I expected. This printer does not strike me as regressive in the least, and for the price, it will fulfill all of the needs of the average user. Documents, charts, powerpoints, some images (usually not photos), and templates are all printed. I do a lot of image resizing and scanning, and I've tried all of these features and haven't had any problems; I'm not concerned with the color of the printer itself, and I'm not willing to pay more for a pretty color.

Buy It! Many HP all-in-one printers have passed through my hands
5/5

This model, I must say, performs better than any HP model I've used in the last five years. Every month, I print between 200 and 300 pages. So far, there have been no issues with it jamming and staying connected to my wireless system.

Keep in mind that ink is costly and that cartridges cannot be refilled
3/5

The cost of ink is high, and it is difficult to come by. Due to the chip in the cartridge and the firmware that has been installed, it is not possible to refill it. It's my printer, after all, and I should be able to do whatever I want with it. I'm going to switch to a different brand; HP, you're a jerk!.

I had no idea I'd be writing a review for this book
5/5

Ever! I never imagined myself writing this review, much less a positive one, much less a 5-star one. Until now, every Inkjet I've bought has essentially worked fine until the ink ran out, but replacements were always on sale and were less expensive than new ink cartridges. br>br>For this 'benefit,' the printers would be slow, the ink would run quickly after use, and perhaps it was just because I didn't like them, but I believe they were all single-instance devices. br>br>When the Envy arrived, I didn't have high hopes, but it did appear to be interesting. It took about a minute to unbox and another minute to get everything set up and ready to install. Things started to get interesting at this point. br>br>It gave you the option of connecting via cable to an existing network or using Wi-Fi to connect to an existing network. You could connect to the network wirelessly if you had access to wi-fi. The device's screen guided you through the setup wizard in an incredibly user-friendly manner. interface that works When I say this, I really mean it because I've never used a printer with such a simple interface (it reminds me of high-end office copiers with network storage). br>br>In any case, you go through the wizard, get a network connectivity confirmation, and the system then installs updates and calibrates itself. After that, a test page is printed to verify the calibration, as well as all the information you'll need about the printer, such as an email address to send documents to and have them printed. Yes, you read that correctly. This device allows you to send documents to an email address and have them printed, which is impressive for a device that took two minutes to unpack and install, as well as another two minutes to connect to your network. br>br>After that, you should download and install the appropriate app to print with. This allows you to print from an iOS or Android device, whether it's a tablet or a phone, as well as manage your printer. Unlike many network printers, which require you to log into a web page or go through a lot of hoops to manage your printer, you can do almost everything through the Printer's screen interface or the app - And once you're online, everything is embarrassingly simple. br>br>The last issue is print quality, which continues to astound me. This set came with four different sizes of glossy picture paper. The quality was impressive, but it was the features that I thought were the most interesting. If you have an old photograph in a frame that has been damaged by moisture or humidity, place it inside the printer, scan it, and print it on glossy paper. You've just made a photocopy, which is the equivalent of a 3D printer. While it's especially useful for old photos, you can do it with newer ones as well. Simply save the digital file and you'll have a second copy as well as a digital file to print at a later date. It may appear mundane, and it is to some extent, but its simplicity and effectiveness are what make it so useful. It's like having a drug store photography studio in your home, which you can run from your phone. br>br>The image quality is excellent, especially on the glossy paper. For the most part, it's on par with what you'd find in a drugstore and, in some cases, even surpasses the quality of work I've had professionally done just a few years ago. Despite the fact that it was an HP device, I had very low expectations for it. I was mistaken, and everything was remarkable, especially the small, easily overlooked details. I can't believe I was so taken with a printer.
