Allow the angels to sing their songs. It's a printer, so it works. I submit to the printing prowess of this printer. When it comes to printers, you might as well ask for a unicorn these days, because the last two I've owned have failed to print. I can operate a printer, yes. However, certain Brother machines don't play well with Macs, and if I'd had any hair left to pull out after the whirlwind that is 2020, I would have done so with my last two machines. This is the printer for you if you don't want to print a test page before each print job. br>br>If you want a printer that your cat will attack for no reason other than that she can't stand the blue light that occasionally appears at night, and that is wide enough for said cat to sit on and feel dominant over as if she won the blue light war, this is it. If you want a printer that you can unplug because your toddler likes to scan a blank piece of paper and then print it out as a full black 8, this is the printer for you. This is definitely it. 5X11 sheet, and when you plug it back in after they go to bed so you can print out your time-sensitive project, IT ACTUALLY CAN FIND THE WIFI BY ITSELF WITHOUT YOU HAVING TO DOWNLOAD A DRAWER, UNINSTALL THE WHOLE PRINTER, AND THEN WAIT FOR AN HOUR ON THE PHONE WITH TECH SUPPORT, THIS IS DEFINITELY IT. br>br>Buy this printer, give them your money, give them more money, and then make paper and ink sacrifices to this printer in exchange for the gift of Just Printing it gives you. Give thanks for the crops that grow and the sun that shines on this printer by tossing your old machine into a nearby volcano, which 2020 will undoubtedly provide at random. On its own. br>br>I use my phone to print. If I want, I can print wirelessly as well as wired from my laptop. I unplug it, put my cat and toddler on it, then plug it back in and print from my phone while standing on my head in the shower with my phone in a waterproof bag. I print double-sided or in black and white with only five sheets of paper in the tray, and I print double-sided AND in black and white just because I can. You, too, can do it, my friend. All you have to do is buy this printer, and you'll have access to all of the magic, though the cartridges can be difficult to come by. Yes, the subscription ink thing feels shady and icky, but if you just buy the cartridges from here or Staples or somewhere else, it'll be fine because it PRINTS. br>br>Cue the Hallelujah Chorus by Handel.
I assumed people were technologically challenged because there were so many mixed reviews, so I decided to go ahead and purchase this printer anyway. First and foremost, we are in our early 30s and have a lot of technology in our home, so this was not a case of us being technologically challenged or incapable of troubleshooting. shoot. Setup was simple, the printer looked great, and everything seemed to be working fine until we started getting E4 and E3 error codes with every print job, which indicate paper jams and ink cartridge issues. Neither of these issues were an issue. Then we got a generic error message that even the HP app couldn't explain, simply saying "something is wrong with the printer. " We are unable to print a single page without encountering errors. We returned the printer after a hard reset and using the HP app's advice failed to resolve the issues. Maybe we got a bad batch; our previous HP, which was ten years old, worked perfectly. We're returning the item for a refund and switching printers.
Wireless connectivity is not available, and HP has announced that the 67 ink cartridge is no longer available.
OMG! This printer stinks to high heaven! I spent well over four hours on the phone with HP technical support trying to get it set up. There was only ONE piece of paper included with it! There aren't any instructions, and there aren't any directions at all! I finally got it connected to my wifi and set up. I was only able to print two pages before it jammed. It would no longer print after the paper jam. I called the support team again and spent another 35 minutes on the phone with her trying to figure out how to get the printer to print again. It didn't print at all this time. This printer is being returned, and I'm not sure I'll ever buy another HP printer. DON'T BUY THIS PRINTER! br>Do yourself a favor and DON'T BUY THIS PRINTER!.
I needed something to bring my nursing school notes to life, and this printer was perfect for the job. When your printer runs out of ink, it sends a notification to HP, who promptly sends it out! The first two months are free, after that it's $10 per month for color and black ink if you print 300 sheets per month like me.
My only complaint is that it took me a minute to figure out how to reconnect it to the network after changing our wifi password because the steps I used for initial setup did not work this time, and I couldn't find anything on HP's website to help me. But I eventually figured out that just above where the power cord plugs in is a button with a wifi symbol, and that by pressing that button, I was able to reconnect it to my phone and then the house's wifi. br>br>Another thing to note is that every other HP printer we've owned had the power button on the front, and for a brief moment, I mistookly believed there was no power button on this one. However, there is a power button on the back of the device, which may be inconvenient for some users. br>br>This printer has a lot of positive attributes. When printing, the pages print much faster than any other printer we've used before. Printing from your phone is simple with this app. The most important thing for me is that scanning my pencil-written math homework is a lot easier than scanning it with my father's officejet 4600 series. I have to scan and then fiddle with the settings after each scan with the officejet. I scan documents in black and white with this printer, and the work is always readable after the first scan. br>br>I'm giving this 5 stars because, now that I've learned everything there is to know about this printer, I think it's a fantastic machine. I've been working with computers since I was a kid, so a learning curve doesn't bother me, but a printer with an LCD display might be a better option for someone looking for a user-friendly printer.
I was looking for a printer and compared several models before deciding on this one despite the lack of a review. It didn't connect to the internet at first. However, instructions (followed by pressing buttons on the printer) explain how to set it up at home. After that, I was able to print it using the HP smart app. It's simple and enjoyable.
