Perhaps this is a problem with corporate printers more than anything else. Ink is the only thing you'll need to purchase separately. If you print frequently, I believe you can pay Amazon a reasonable monthly fee and they will ship you ink as needed. I hope this has been of assistance:

It was purchased in November 2020 and is brand new. Printing lines on photo paper is considered cute by the printer.
