The scan screen is only the size of a standard piece of paper. I'm trying to scan a 12x12 scrapbook page, but I'm not sure how to go about it. ?

In the Scan Utility, there is a "Scan and Stitch" option. If it isn't already installed, go ahead and install it. Following the instructions, you scan two pieces from the platen and then use the control panel screen to move one part to the other part. It seems to work for me. Jobs that are 11"x14" are scanned in. A scan in slot is something I've never seen before. That is, however, something worth looking into. It's time to read the instruction manual!

There are only issues! This printer does not appeal to me in the least
3/5

Nothing. And for the price, I had hoped for a lot more. br>br>I've had it for two days and it's been nothing but a headache. Consider the following scenario: 1. br>br> Every single page I print now has a black streak on the back. When the paper became stuck, I began. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br To try to fix the problem, I ran through two cleaning cycles, which consumed HALF of my very expensive ink! I didn't even bother with the deep clean, which warns you that it will consume a significant amount of ink. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. The speed with which ink travels is astounding. Since I got the printer, I've printed less than 20 pages and cleaned it twice, and the ink it came with (at least the Cyan and Magenta) is nearly gone! 4. br>br> Anything that isn't standard printer paper jams up the lower paper cartridge like crazy. If you use slightly thicker paper, you must use the back paper tray, which sticks out quite a bit in the back, requiring you to keep the printer far away from the wall and consuming a significant amount of valuable desk space. 5. br>br> Everything in the top 2 inches of everything I print has lines. I can't use this printer for my business because it has lines all over it, even after using their automatic print head alignment feature and cleaning twice. 6. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> I recently discovered that I am unable to use off-the-shelf products. I can't use any other brand ink cartridges, so I'm forced to use Canon's ridiculously expensive ink. Nope. Canon, it's not going to happen. Go ahead and be a glutton for punishment. I will never buy another product from you for the rest of my life; instead, I will return to Brother printers or try HP or Epson. Much less of a headache! br>br>Keep in mind that I've only had this printer for a few days and it's already causing major problems. This printer will be returned to me without a doubt!.

You can't find plain 12 x 12 paper? As a card and scrapbook maker, I was very enthusiastic about this printer
3/5

No one, however, has the 12 x 12 paper that this printer requires. How can Cannon make a printer for which there is no paper? I'm extremely disappointed!.

Even though the software had a glitch that prevented me from connecting to WiFi, I still give this PIXMA printer four stars because Canon's tech support is outstanding
4/5

It took an hour on the phone with two different specialists, but they were able to walk me through a solution, and the printer now functions as expected. This is my third Canon printer; I've enjoyed them all, and while I've had a few technical issues with each, Canon's commitment to customer service is unrivaled; they're easy to reach, and they stick with you until the problem is resolved. br>br>The WiFi connection problem was caused by a software bug that prevented me from manually entering my modem password; however, tech support was able to walk me through a hack that allowed the modem to send the password to the printer via USB connection through my Windows PC. The technician on the other end of the line said he had no idea why it worked, but he was glad it did, and so was I. br>br>The Canon PIXMA TS9520 has a lot of features that I like: It prints beautiful photos, allows me to burn photos to DVD discs, prints larger pages than most other printers, has a new fold-out touchscreen control center, and is smaller than my previous PIXMA printers. br>br>Canon's inclusion of the ability to recognize generic ink cartridges in its printers does not sit well with me. It informs you that generic ink cartridges will not work for printing. Because Canon ink cartridges are expensive, it's an obvious ploy to maximize profits; my old PIXMA MX922 worked fine with cheaper, generic ink cartridges, even though it gave me the same error message. When the Canon ink in my new PIXMA TS9520 runs out, I'll probably try generic ink once more. I'll be disappointed if it actually doesn't work with generic ink. br>br>One more thing about Canon inkjet games: A ploy is also the popup that warns you that an ink cartridge is nearly empty, complete with flashing lights and an X on the cartridge icon. They want you to get rid of it and replace it with a new one. With an "almost empty" cartridge, I've discovered I can print for weeks at a high quality. Continue printing until the quality deteriorates, and then replace the cartridge. br>br>However, I do not wish to criticize Canon. I really like PIXMA printers, and I really like Canon's customer service.

This printer is extremely versatile, and Canon has outdone themselves once again
5/5

I paid a little more than usual because I wanted a printer that didn't have a fax machine and had better photo quality. The print quality is excellent, as is the speed with which it prints. It has 5 ink tanks, which makes it easy to replace one at a time; I purchased the XL, which seems to last a long time. I print a lot of photos and do home office work, so the speed and print quality were excellent. This is my third printer, and it's the best one I've ever had. This printer is one that I would strongly suggest.

After idle, it takes a long time to warm up
3/5

When the Canon TS9520 isn't used for a while, it takes a long time to respond to a print command; according to Canon tech support, if the printer isn't used for about an hour, it enters a "cool-down" mode. It will then "warm up" after being in "down" mode. This is done to ensure that the print head lasts as long as possible. In my experience, the "cool-guy" mentality is a myth. down" starts much sooner than an hour after a print command is issued, and it takes 20 minutes to complete. Warm up for 60 seconds. The printer works fine otherwise, but the "warmup" delay is extremely inconvenient. It's a major oversight that this isn't mentioned in the Amazon description.

Ink is of poor quality
3/5

Although the printer was successful in printing on sticker paper, the blues were too dark. I contacted tech support, but no matter what setting we chose, we were unable to adjust it. In addition, I followed the instructions when opening the ink packages that came with it, and the damn ink splattered all over me. It splattered all over the floor, my face, and my clothing! Quality control is a joke! That's something I've never experienced with any Canon ink! I currently have a Pixma ip110 and purchased this to replace it for heavy-duty printing. This, on the other hand, is going backwards.

This wasn't a brand-new printer, as far as I could tell
3/5

This printer gave me a paper jam error right out of the box - It wasn't a brand-new printer, I could tell - It's back to square one.
