I did not request the registration card, and my typewriter was returned. There were problems with it working properly, and I thought it was of poor quality. Wishing you great success!
It is a Chinese product
These two things seemed easy to do in my experience, and the arms that contained the ink spools were delightful to have on my desk. I returned this typewriter as a number of its design flaws ultimately caused me to do so. I guess a typewriter like this would be a fine first machine for a child if it were cheaper, but at its current price, it's simply not worth it.
I really don't mind what you use it for. Color strips for ink are available in many different shades. If you want, you can change it out for a plain black strip, for a black and blue strip, or for a color strip of your choosing.

It is legal. When she first used it, she realized that several of the keys were inoperable and that the ribbon had ripped. It was a complete waste of time! Thus, we are returning this piece and are looking for a used typewriter on Etsy that has been refurbished. My guess is that the old Particularly when they are made in China, they are no longer made as they used to.
There is no authenticity to this cheap rip-off Retro typewriters are hot this year, so this is an off-the-shelf offer intended to capitalize on that interest. mine because it is so crudely made with such a rough finish compared to vintage typewriters that were precision machines with beautiful workmanship. The thing you're holding isn't going to do that! All the letters are made of thin material, and the type is irregular. The company does not provide an option to reverse the ribbon near the end of a roll as every typewriter I've ever used did. It isn't the best typewriter I've ever used, but I have used more than a dozen different manual types over the years and every single one was better A reliable, clean, easy to use typing experience It's like comparing a shack to the Sistine Chapel if they compare a shack with it. It might be fine to set it somewhere as an ornament if you just want to use it as an ornament. However, it is a joke if you want to actually type with it.
It's safe to say I won't be My favorite part of the book is the story. However, one change had to be made. Until my thumb grew accustomed to hitting the metal housing with every press of the space bar, it was set just a bit too low. The condition is uncomfortable and would be painful if left untreated. My solution was to stick a thin strip of felt (maybe a quarter inch thick) over the spacebar to raise it sufficiently. In addition to being aesthetically disappointing (see photo), it also detracts from the texture that much. There is a soft touch on the spacebar now.
We would like to caution you once more A number of the plastic pieces inserted for shipping are to keep things stable within the typewriter, and the manual instructs you to remove them after unboxing. apologize for this, but as you can see, I accidentally broken the paper guide when I removed the removable pieces, since it has the same white plastic as the removable pieces, so I assumed it wasn't part of the machine. I messed up. It still works without it, so it's not a big deal. Just make sure you don't take the wrong pieces out. The machine typed just fine once I changed the ink setting (I changed the light setting to 'heavy') I can't comment on how it compares to old, antique typewriters, as it's my first one. I found the letters to be quite faint when 'light' was on. I don't know if perhaps the ribbon is dried out, but mine was definitely not complete drier and cracked as some other users reported. The purple version is really pretty (I got it). Seems well-built with a nice metal housing, and I'm happy with it. This typewriter was built for a joystick, so it's a little more challenging than a computer keyboard, and it makes a wonderful racket, but it's I LOVE this keyboard so much that I would like to type all day on it!.
My only complaint was the ribbon support arms. They were very comfortable, something else I had never seen on a Despite its positive features, it also has some peculiar quirks. The initial thing I noticed when using it was that the hammers did not make the satisfying clacking sound that one would expect from an old Despite that, I was not too bothered by it When I typed fast, I noticed the letters would go crooked, especially when the carriage was swung back, so the point where I'd set the margin would always move past it. I don't know if it's common, but it happened to me. A few times, I accidentally typed over the previous line in the middle of a line, and I hadn't a clue how it Last night, I went home to find that at my home, the logoplate, which I had assumed was bolted, wasn't straight. I discovered that the adhesive was melting when the object was only stuck on. Despite its many flaws, it nevertheless worked fine for the most part, and it would be a good choice for the first typewriter of a young child if it had been a lot cheaper. Unfortunately, it just didn't live up to the standard I expected for the price.
My intent was to distract myself with this typewriter I like to write free. That's the only good thing about it. There are some things you need to watch out for around The ribbon on the first machine got messed up, so I had to send it back. When I switched out the battery again, it went bad It was impossible to reverse the mechanism. It would jump ahead with the ribbon while I was typing, and I would have to open it back up to get it to wind itself back up. The second machine, on the other hand, works well. The theme has been a topic on which I have been working on one of my novels while also rushing to finish The thing is, if you're a writer you will love it. Do not let some negative reviews deter you.
There is nothing useful about it. I strongly urge you not to There are parts of it that do not work at all, and it does not work like a typewriter. As a gift, it was not opened until after the return deadline. I think it is adorable, but that is all I can say about it. Whenever you are giving a gift, buyer beware.
It's not going to work! I wish I had bought a different typewriter. It was perfectly fine except for the typewriter being a bit cumbersome.
