There are 49 languages available, but not all of them have voice translation (15 languages do not). It's great for communicating basic everyday language, but it loses precision when it comes to more technical terms. So far, I've used it for seven languages and have been impressed by its versatility. To allow the translator to pick up on what you're saying, you must speak slowly and in short sentences. I like that it has a currency exchange function, which will come in handy when I travel. The device connects to your phone's wifi and acts as a hotspot. br>br>The camera translation is extremely slow and inaccurate in translating words; it is also not dynamic like Google Translate. Given that this is my first translation device, I am impressed, but I would like to see the following features added:
- the voice of a manbr>- More time to talk, like Google Translate. The restriction on speaking into the microphone forces one to rush through a conversation; additionally, you must speak slowly, which means a lot less is said, making conversations mechanical rather than natural. br>- br>translation of a camera in real timebr>- For English speakers, there should be more than Chinese to English offline (French, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish should also be included)br>- When the device is not in use, the battery lasts longer.
This translator has a larger touch screen than other translators in this price range, making it easier to use and read. I've attempted English, Japanese, Spanish, and French translations. The translation is both quick and precise. You will, however, require a good Wi-Fi connection. To get the most out of this device, you'll need a Wi-Fi connection and clear speech; in the future, the translator should support more offline languages than English – Chinese. Its software updates are something I'm looking forward to.
For my parents, I purchased a voice translator. They are unable to communicate in English, so this device is extremely beneficial. It's very simple to use, and it translates fairly quickly and accurately. WIFI or a hotspot is all you'll need. The menu translation feature is fantastic, and I didn't notice it in any of the other cellphone apps. It's something I'd strongly suggest!.
I spend a lot of time on the road. Language is usually not a problem for me, except when ordering food in a foreign restaurant, where I have to make decisions based on pictures on the menu, and I've ordered the wrong thing many times. The best part about this translator is that you can use it to quickly understand a menu by snapping a photo of it. I've tried several times, and while there may be a few words that are mistranslated from time to time, it won't have a significant impact. Overall, this function has left me very impressed.
Fortunately, I wasn't relying on it entirely because I speak a little Italian and was hoping to broaden the conversation beyond what I already knew. When connected to wifi, the device performs admirably, but obtaining a password is not always straightforward. I tried to connect to my wife's phone because it has a hotspot, but you have to reconnect every dang time you want to use it, and even then it was spotty at best. Perhaps I needed to hold the phone under the translator and not be 5 feet away sheesh. The device works fine at my house in the United States, where I have access to the password, but it is useless in the real world. I wish I could recommend this for travel, but I can't. I've had several (3-star) reviews. 4) When my friends inquired about the translator, I had to tell them that "it didn't. " " Siri was better with short phrases. I wish I could give this a higher rating, but I can only give it a two-star rating. 5 rating. I'm looking forward to future updates that include more offline languages, and I'll update this review once I've tried the device in offline mode.
I'm hoping they'll be able to fix it soon.
I travel to China on a regular basis for work. Despite the fact that there are numerous phone translation apps available, they are rendered useless due to the Firewall and limited mobile internet. I've found a solution at long last! Here are a few ideas: 1) I found the tool to be extremely user-friendly when working with others. You simply choose the languages on the easy touch screen and speak into the machine; I only know a little Mandarin, but I was able to tell that the translation was accurate. br>br>2) The Machine was simple to set up. The set- Any smartphone user would find up to be very intuitive. Furthermore, connecting to the internet via Wifi was a breeze; Remember that this device can be used both online and offline. br>br>3) The battery life is excellent. I haven't charged it yet despite using it for several days. br>br>Overall, this is an excellent tool for business travelers. I like it because it allows me to go off the beaten path and into areas where I can order food and have experiences using it.
I've tried translations from English to Chinese and a few other languages. It is extremely accurate. After ordering it, I was concerned because I read that it couldn't recognize many common words. It seems to be working fine as far as I can tell. However, the translation buttons can be perplexing because if you press the wrong button, the translation result can be extremely misleading. After that, the seller sent me an email with a detailed user manual, which was extremely helpful. I was also pleasantly surprised by the photo translation feature. It's something I'd suggest to others.
