Questions & Answers
It's a simple matter to make a wiring harness that connects the power, ground, and speakers to the radio harness. If you plan to use the AM/FM functions, you'll need an antenna as well.
Speakers connected via Bluetooth can't be paired with the phone.
Having such a marine rating indicates the device is designed to work in a humid environment but is not necessarily meant to be With two speakers inside my boat and two outside, I have mine installed in the cabin.

The price of the item is low, and with that price comes a low feeling. Weighing less than an apple, it is small and light. I think it gets really hot when the device is on for some reason, to the point where you can't touch its back. It has terrible sound quality (even though I bought a pair of marine Lanzar speakers for it). You can barely hear anything coming from it. The unit is a POS, and it would have been better for me to spend the extra money on something better.
Having said that, with a pricetag of $35, just the fact that it even works and has all these features is a plus. Yes, the housing is plastic and it is extremely lightweight, but I suspect the plastic costs at LEAST $35 in order to manufacture, and hey, you even get a cardboard box, 2 wiring harnesses, and some instructions in a ziplock bag. What would you do if you could There is no such thing! A $35 or $50 gift certificate is simply not sufficient! Do you remember when you bought a $100 phone case? In addition to Bluetooth, an SD card reader, MP3 player, a remote control and TWO sets of pre-installed apps for $35, you also get Bluetooth, an SD card reader This stereo is outs! Any consumer who says that it isn't works properly is uneducated. Especially at this price point and in the Pyle tradition, you get over twice what you should expect from a stereo of this quality and if it only lasted you one summer, then get a replacement or invest in something an upgrade will bring. For a truck stereo that lasts 2 years and costs $600, the stereo I bought cost me $600. I have not yet decided if I'll even commit to being a boat owner, so I'm looking for something 'cheap' to see if I'm even interested in being one. I am thrilled with the performance of this stereo, it was easy and quick to set up, didn't cost a lot of money, and sounds fantastic when connected to my SKAR SK65Ms and a Pyle 1200w amplifier.
One reviewer left a one star review proclaiming that she was so dissapointed that she bought a set of Lanzar speakers for $25 in order to show her disapproval! Could she have just taken a walk and walked to a Bluetooth speaker instead? The bottom line is, if you're even considering this stereo, you are not looking to spend topdollar, so you should not expect top-notch quality, but definitely expect to be pleasantly surprised.
My pontoon is equipped with this new Bluetooth receiver so I can enjoy the benefits of Bluetooth. Although power and ground are connected, I couldn't get the device to work. There are no LEDs at all on the clock. A BLACK and YELLOW wire is located between those two. Returning it and requesting a replacement was my choice. **I've received the replacement today and have wired it in as well. I double-checked the power and ground to ensure everything was in working order. As it turned out, it Once I plugged the harness into the back, there were no more problems! It has been a while since I did this, so I was wondering if I was We checked everything to make sure everything was right, and everything worked as it should! We won't buy another PYLE! I will send both back to you on Tuesday. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED.
It made me wonder if this happened because of other complaints from the radio.
Great stereo for the price. I have learned however that its distortion device must be put in line with the power wire in order to prevent it from picking up motor noise during operation. Stereos in all kinds of automobiles and marines behave like this. There was a specific problem he knew how to resolve.
My goal was to find something with Bluetooth support (to be able to access music and make and receive calls with my iPhone 7) without a CD player. They matched exactly what I was looking for. This was my first purchase of this type of product and since I did not want to invest a lot in expensive name brand (Sony, Kenwood, etc. ) Due to the low price, and based on the positive reviews, I still purchased the item. In brief, let me say this The purchase has exceeded my expectations and I am very pleased with it! There is no comparison to the quality. It was super easy to pair with my iPhone Thanks to the new music streaming feature on my phone, I can now listen to music wherever I am! There was a huge difference between the receiver and the JVC speakers (also JVC) that were replaced by the new receiver. Even so, I went ahead and replaced the old speakers with Pyle PLMR605W just after installing the new receiver. Fortunately, the sound is much better now. Even so, it seems like a good deal and cannot possibly be real. Pyle, thanks for your kind words!.
Other than that, what did you expect? My OEM stereo was broken on my boat, so it was installed to replace it. There is no doubt that it The installation was easy, but you had to splice a lot of wires for the harness as is always the case with boats, but they used the standard colors so it was simple, just time-consuming. interested in how long this will last. It has a container over the radio that minimizes water flow on my boat when it is docked. The spare is almost on my shopping list. It would be easy for me to swap it out without changing the harness after two years. At a local marine store, a no-name brand was one dollar cheaper than the branded products. I was expecting the name brand to be five times the price but it was three times the price. Let's see how soon it lasts.
