The head unit you are considering is a waste of money. Honestly, this is a very cheap and flimsy product. Compared to an apple, this device weighs less than a pound. For some reason, when it's on, it tends to get really hot, where you can't touch the back. I even bought a pair of marine Lanzar speakers for it, but the sound quality there is horrible. You can barely even hear anything at all. The unit is a POS and I would have spent the money more wisely on a better one.
It's a real steal for $35. Besides all these features, the fact that it even works is even better! It is true that the housing is made from plastic and it is very lightweight, however I think it costs at LEAST $35 to manufacture and you even receive a cardboard box, two wiring harnesses and some instructions within a ziplock bag. Where do you find a solution to that problem? It's not your fault! I would not give you a $35 or $50 gift certificate! What would you do if you had $100 to spend on a phone case? In addition to Bluetooth speakers, you get a SD card reader, MP3 player, remote control, an SD card reader, and two sets of pre-installed apps for $35 The stereo is great! Any consumer who complains about it is uneducated, IMHO! Considering the price point AND it is a Pyle stereo, you get WAY more for that price than you expect and if it only lasts you for a summer, and again, it is a $35 stereo, you might consider investing in something more durable. One thing I will say, though. I had an AVEC Pi**neer touch screen fail on me within one year. That stereo cost me $600 for my pickup truck. It lasted me for 2 years. So I'm not concerned about the price of my boat, because I was just looking at cheap ones to see if I even want to own a boat. I am happy with this stereo, it is easy to install, it was not out of my budget, and it sounds great when connected to my SKAR SK65M's and Pyle 1200W amplifier. There is one reviewer who gave our speakers a 1 star review, saying she was so disappointed that she even bought a $25 Lanzar set, lol! It might have been easier for her to just get a bluetooth speaker and be done with it?
The bottom line is, if you're even looking at this stereo, you're not looking to spend a lot of money, so don't expect high-end quality, but ALWAYS be prepared to be.
My husband and I bought this new receiver for use on our pontoon so we can benefit from Bluetooth technology. No light came on after I connected the power and ground. I don't see any LED clock, nor any LEDs for that matter. The input voltage was measured to be 12 volts There is a electrical connection between the YELLOW and the Returning it and asking for a replacement was my decision. It was a pleasure to receive the replacement today and I also wired it up. I checked both the power and the ground to ensure everything is alright. The truth is that it It didn't work again after I plugged the harness into the back! At first, I thought I was doing something wrong this time. There were no issues with the wiring and everything was double and triple checked. I will never use another Pyle again. Both will be sent back to you I AM NOT HAPPY.
I purchased the radio but when it was ready for installation it did not work. I could not exchange or return because the radio is no longer available. Would you mind telling me if the radio complained about another issue at the time as well.
Great stereo for the price. I learned though that if you don't use a distortion device with the power cable, it picks up on motor noise, so you can't use it without one when the guitar Stereos in motor vehicles and boats behave this way, so this is not unusual. As a first-time stereo installer, I had no idea that was the case. He told me this when he heard it from one of my friends who has installed many stereos. This was exactly the problem he knew about.
The device I was looking for had Bluetooth support (so I could play music and talk on my iPhone 7) and did not have to be a CD player. I was able to find what I needed in the specs. The truth is, I admit I was sceptical about buying this unit since it was not a higher-end brand (such as Sony or Kenwood) Although the price and other positive reviews made me get it, I still took the plunge. As for me, let me say this This purchase made me very happy and I have been very satisfied with it. A very high standard of quality has been achieved. My iPhone paired instantly with the app - very easy to use Also, I am glad to be able to stream music now from my phone! I substituted the JVC it replaced with the original boats speakers (also JVC) and found that the receiver was significantly cleaner and louder. I went ahead and replaced the existing speakers with Pyle PLMR605W after installing the new receiver, and we can all hear the difference now! Even though the deal appears to be too good to be true, it Pyle, thanks for your comment!.
How else did you plan on spending your time? The stereo was installed on my boat to replace the OEM one that had been damaged. There is a way to make it work. It was a quick and easy install the harness required splicing a lot of wires as it does on every boat, but they used the standard colors, so it was not difficult - I wonder how long it will last. The splash container on my boat absorbs the water so I don't have to worry about it getting wet. My mind is almost made up of buying Despite the fact that I could easily swap it out without changing out the harness if it runs for two years. One of the cheapest no name brands could be found at a local marine store for The cheapest name brand costs 3x what this one does. So it will be interesting to see how long it lasts.
