So far, it has impressed me. Four stars for the installation and I'm going to give this product a thumbs up. A radio and speakers kit like this was purchased for a boat I own made out of aluminum. Although the installation has been completed, I have not had the boat on the water since then. After the boat gets wet a few more times, I will perform a follow-up review of this product. I am very pleased with my purchase. The speakers and radio arrived on time and the packaging was flawless. In my case it was clear that the item returned to me was brand new with its The installation process is pretty straightforward. The instructions must be followed. The wiring diagram in the speaker box is the only thing I'd recommend you follow. It is stated that the top wiring diagram is meant for four speakers in the instructions book. It is important to remember that only two speakers are included in this package. In the case that you have only two speakers, then you will need to follow the bottom wiring diagram. A two-bar diagram is shown at the bottom Speakers configured as bridged speakers. You can wire two speakers into an UN-based amplifier if you only have two speakers When your radio is configured for bridged mode, you will receive only half the radio's power. In this situation, 2 speakers are connected in a bridged fashion. My review of these speakers and radio after installation is that they sound very, very nice for a product which is The speakers were mounted by a little overhang just beneath the nose of the boat. It is better for the sound to have them up beneath the overhang. During a cruise on my boat, I ran the radio for 8 hours, but the deep cycle marine battery didn't drain. This was with LED interior lights also turned on. Despite my love for the radio, there is one thing I do not like about it. realize it is probably designed to be installed into boats that have already been fitted with a radio, but if you will be inserting the radio into a boat that never had one before, you will need to drill a large hole to fit this equipment in. This radio has a base of approximately 3" in diameter I'm not sure what that hole is filled with. Putting down such a large hole in my boat seemed a bit risky to me just in case I need to take it out if this unit fails. In order to mount the box to the boat, I made a little box for the unit and drilled smaller holes for fastening it. I can live with the box sticking out a little, but yes, it is a bit visible. I have not yet tested the radio because neither an antenna nor the radio have been purchased. Blue Tooth connects very well to my device, and I have tested it. In the past, I've bought BT crap from Amazon and always had a hard time getting it to work. I connected this unit very quickly to my wife's iPhone and have never experienced a drop in connection since then. In addition, the BT connection is very reliable and doesn't lose connection. I have also tested the USB connection, and that too works fine. In addition to the 3, there is a 1. I have also installed a 5mm jack for older devices that I haven't tested, as well as RCA plugs for which I cut the head off because I didn't want to stick the fat heads through the smaller hole I drilled. What are the chances that someone still uses an RCA connection today? As a result, I attached the two Positive lines to a rocker switch mounted on the boat, thereby terminating the other lead on the rocker switch with a single Positive wire that goes back to the battery, which also has a I have peace of mind knowing that the battery kill switch and the additional rocker switch will not drain my battery if I forget to shut it off, or if the unit malfunctions.
I am again very impressed at how this is turning out. We will have to wait until people have had a chance to test it out in the lake. A fresh water system will be used. I will update this review when I have more time.
I could not be happier with the radio, it's perfect for my needs, and the Bluetooth works perfectly. My marine antenna worked well on the boat and I bought a short marine antenna. Despite having limited space in the boat, I have placed 4 inch surface mount speakers in it. The sound is excellent. It would be fantastic if the speakers had better quality. In order to run two speakers, I bridged the output as directed.
It is very easy to install. In my Polaris Ranger 500 with a cab, even at maximum volume, I can barely hear it. I only give it 4 stars and not 5, because even though the receiver says 160 watts, it is barely audible in my vehicle. I am pretty sure it does not produce 160 watts, but maybe 20. I liked the Bluetooth functionality it was very easy to connect. However, with a 10" antenna it was not able to receive our local 200,000 watt FM station, which the system went right over.
My boat was being reconstructed at the time I ordered the unit. My phone wanted to pull music from it, but it wouldn't plug in so I installed it last Monday. It rained Wednesday and Thursday so I wrote off it as a feature of the product. I had a flash drive attached to me. On Saturday, my family and I went fishing at a nearby lake. I turned the unit on and the screen said "Bluetooth Connected. " It was frozen. The power button, as well as most other buttons, were not working. This message alone is enough to cause the unit to shut down after an hour. Since then, he has not worked. Everything was checked, fuses were replaced, and wiring was rerouted. Power will not be provided to the unit. Yesterday was the last day for me to return items. This does not make me happy in the least.
As you can see, if you connect the phone to the USB port, it does not charge, but will play music off the USB flash drive (from my experience, lots of radios do not charge phones), so if you install the radio to thin material, remove the wire clamp. Negatives It does not have a remote switch to turn the amp on if it's running, so you'll have to use a separate switch or a separate switch and remote to power it on and off.
Over and over again, it will do this. The supplied 12 are attached. The ground is very secure because there are 6 volts. It has been tried many times. Unfortunately, I have to return it because my return window appears to have been only one month (guess they know something) and I purchased it more than two months ago.
My boat is working perfectly with this installation. The price is too good to be true.
During the course of using the program there was never a problem. It's a great program.
