Prior to beginning, let me say that I am an audiophile who has been in my father's recording studio for an extensive period of time and has heard some of the best studio monitors available. My opinion about these Logitech speakers is of equal value to that of a $6,000 pair of Genelec studio monitors as I have high regards for their quality. I bought these speakers along with a monitor for my PC not expecting much other than knowing they are better than the speakers found on my Television, which I use as a monitor. After receiving them, I put them into use and began to listen to some music on my phone right away. When I heard the sound the speakers was putting out even though they weren't properly placed, I was blown away. It was even more impressive when the speakers had been correctly set up. Around three-quarters of the way through, I turned the volume up I was astonished to find that these speakers did not distort at all after going about three quarters of the way. Since I set them up, I have used them not only on my PC, but also all the time on my Macbook Pro as I feel these speakers reproduce sound more accurately. In fact, I was even able to turn off my EQ in iTunes due to the more accurate sound reproduction. I discovered that with these speakers you need to turn up the bass knob (for me I turned it between 1 and 2 O'Clock) to achieve a smooth low frequency response and a more overall "full" sound. So keep that in mind when reading my review. I am absolutely blown away by the sound output for 100 dollars. There is a lot of crispness in the highs and mids. A high volume of bass is going to hit you in the chest.
