The speakers I installed were better than those that came with the HTD brand. I like the way they sound. I installed them in my previous house and I think they're better than the HTD brand speakers. It's hard for me to tell the difference between these high quality speakers and cheap sounding tin cans, but I am aware of the difference between the two. The majority of my time is spent with Movie watching with surround sound on one TV. I agree that music sounds terrific as well. I have used these as Atmos speakers before and always recommend them to my customers. In front channel form, they are a very good match for the Polk 265RT. For my typical go-to setup I would go with two MC80s (the larger version of these) as the rear speakers and two or four of these as atmos speakers with the matching center channel and two 265 RT's up front. These speakers sound the same as the Amazonb Basics speakers, but with a movable tweeter for improved sound.
