I was lucky to find this headset since it has excellent volume control, an in-line mute feature, and a green light for when the connection is active. Plantronics does not need me to hear my voice in the headset I know exactly what I sound like. I do not understand why plantronics thinks I should hear myself. If they would just make sure I am not 2 X louder than the person I am trying to speak with, I could at least get my message through. It also feels very cheap and unreliable, as well as the boom mic It is loose and untied. You cannot put it where you want it to stay. The majority of my teaching and participation in online conferences each week takes place online. My previous headset was a lightweight Logitech I liked, but I bought this model after I moved to Ohio. This is amazing. It is amazing what a difference there is! With the longer cable, it synched up with my computer instantly, and the sound is delightful. It is lightweight, too, and the ear pads are more comfortable too. Plus, there is a cable with control.
