Questions & Answers
No, not at all. There is a beta program called "GoPro Webcam" that may (and it did on two of my three computers) allow you to use it for zooming and little else. Disappointed to the point of frustration. This is why, rather than simply saying yes, they referenced a support article in response to the question. br>br>I've been a long-time GoPro user, but this false advertising, as well as the requirement for an $80 accessory to use HDMI, makes me feel betrayed.
Yes, you certainly can. Please keep in mind that removing the camera's battery door exposes the USB ports, jeopardizing the camera's waterproofing. As a result, the camera is not waterproof unless the door is closed.
The battery in the GoPro HERO9 Black is larger (and has a longer life). Older camera batteries will not work in the HERO9 Black, and vice versa.
Yes, it is possible. The camera can operate independently in saltwater up to a depth of 10 meters (33 feet). Please ensure that the camera is raised before proceeding to the next step. Keeping a close eye on it to make sure no salt deposits form.

This product was purchased to be used as a webcam. The only issue is that the Windows software is in beta, and you must wait for approval before downloading it from a FaceBook group. br>br>If GoPro claims to be webcam ready, they should make the software available on their website. br>br>I'm still waiting for Facebook approval to download the software. NOT ACCEPTABLE! br>br>.
This is by far the best GoPro I've ever had. The 20MP camera makes it ideal for taking to my children's sporting events, and the 14-inch display makes it easy to read. Taking 7MP frame grabs from videos has been a lot of fun. I really like the front screen and intend to get a housing for it if I do any outdoor activities. At my son's baseball game, I've been experimenting with the "Hindsight" feature (which captures about 30 seconds before you press the button), which is really cool because it means I don't have to record the entire game in order to get a good action shot or miss a spectacular play. Without a doubt, one of the most enticing options. Because it has a larger battery than my HERO8, I'm excited to put it to the test in the cold. It's a little heavier than my HERO8, but I think the 20MP photos, updates, and battery life make up for it, and I'm looking forward to getting some great video and pictures before winter.
When compared to competitors, there are numerous flaws and missing features. The Hero9 caused me so much trouble that I had to return it. 1. br>br> Indoors, there are multiple ten stuck pixels. br>br>2. There are severe overheating issues, and you can't record for more than 20 minutes. It runs for 30 minutes at 4K or 5K before shutting down and cooling down. Because of its three-dimensional nature, it has a lot of appeal. CPU is one year old: GP1, which is the same as the Hero6's. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. Old accessories are incompatible with this model. GoPro has confirmed that the Smart Remote is no longer supported, as a 'new' Smart Remote is being released for $$$. Old ND filters for the Hero5-X are no longer available due to a small change in lens size. The Hero9 and 7 are no longer compatible. 4. br>br> The Quik App for iOS has poor connectivity, and it occasionally fails to connect. 5. br>br> Touchscreens don't always register taps and aren't very smooth. 6. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> There's a problem getting the GPS to turn on, and the recorded telemetry isn't compatible with GoPro's Quik software for Windows. On Windows, the Quik does not support H. There are 265 files in total, which is required due to the Hero9's higher resolution. 7. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> Longer or higher-resolution videos will be split into multiple files if the file size is greater than 4GB. Any Quik software will not allow you to merge the video files while maintaining a continuous telemetry overlay. br>br>In addition, the Hero9 lacks a number of features that other competitors offer. 1. br>br> Before previews or edits can be made, both the Quik App and the Windows software require complete downloads of large video files. This can be found on the OneR. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Even worse than the Hero8, the Hero8 has a poor low-light performance. The pixel size shrank as the pixel count increased on the same sensor size, resulting in less light being captured. The sensor on the OneR, on the other hand, is 1". 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. GoPro's square lens is still in use in 2020. Installing third-party CPL filters is a breeze with the Osmo Action's round replaceable lens. 4. br>br> Deep tracking/webcam tracking (subject tracking), AquaVision (underwater filter), and PureShot (low-light photography) are just a few of the AI features that aren't available on the OneR. light HDR)br>br>Returned the Hero9 and reverted to an older Hero2018 while debating whether to spring for the OneR or wait for the OneR 2.

) The front-facing screen is fantastic and provides a variety of options! You can completely disable it! Set it to a traditional mode that only displays your mode settings! It can be viewed in either widescreen or fullscreen mode. The screen is functional and makes taking selfies and filming yourself much easier! 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br ) Application software: The built-in software is far superior to that of previous GoPros! 1. ) Old batteries aren't compatible; however, new batteries are a huge improvement! 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br (At the time of this review, mods were not widely available. )br>br>Overall: I'm still getting to know this new toy, but it's the best GoPro I've ever used!.
Freezing. Connection problems, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Like the previous camera, I expected this one to simply connect to my phone and start working right away. Nope. The firmware must be manually updated if there are any issues with the connection. Firmware has resulted in poor image and audio quality, as well as a lot of screen lag. Until you remove the battery, the screen goes black or freezes. So, what exactly is going on? Is it possible that I received a defective product?.
