The removal is not as easy as it seems. A great deal of adhesion is achieved. The decal on my first Kindle was given to my grandson so I removed it. I was able to remove it and give him a new one after a long struggle.

Apart from protecting a little from finger marks, I wouldn't recommend it to protect my kindle. The new look of my Kindle is fantastic, since I am a huge Futurama fan. This product is very easy to install, I did it in no time and there were no bubbles to worry about.
Although I was nervous that it would be difficult to apply like those phone screen protectors, it was actually very simple. This is an excellent product both aesthetically and physically. There should be similar products available for the recent kindle as well.
Skins like this are great for We had to find a shirt that didn't include skulls or fire for my son, but was age appropriate for him. I like it a lot and as usual it fits the product perfectly.
For young boy readers, this is a great skin.
As soon as I put it on his new Kindle, my future paleontologist was beaming from ear to ear!.
How interesting! What better way to get new life out of my Kindle than to use.
