I decided to purchase this case for my new Kindle after reading numerous reviews. noticed initially that there had been some issues with the corners cracking or breaking, but these issues had now Having only had the item a little over a week, I am very happy with it, so far. It has a very solid and sturdy feel to it. At the moment, I hesitated to award it a 5 star rating since I do not know how it will perform in the long run. As I have now had this case for some time, one of the corners suffered a crack. A piece of the crown then cracked and fell. It has not been abused so I was disappointed with this loss. This is not something I would recommend at this time.

Please be careful when buying. The other reviewers all seemed dramatic and didn't take care of their cases, according to me. Listening to you would have been a good idea. The corners of this kindle have already disintegrated and are falling apart after I've only been using it for 25 days. I read for about 15 minutes every night, have never dropped it, and I have never used it in water, so there is no reason for the amount of decay.
