I had purchased a used Samsung Tab A, model TM-A, for a low price. I didn't want to pay full price for a tablet that my kids use to watch movies while on the road, so I paid 380. The tablet's screen shattered when the youngest daughter dropped it face down. br>br>This kit included useful tools as well as a replacement glass screen that was a perfect fit. Tips: br>br> Make sure you remove the plastic covers on the underside for the back button, home button, and recent apps, and then MAKE SURE you are only removing the plastic cover of the adhesive on the underside. I initially peeled the plastic cover AND the black adhesive, so I had to carefully replace them both, then very carefully grasp the plastic cover there that protects the black tape. br>br>To be honest, putting the screen in place was the most straightforward part.
T380. This screen was ideal for my Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T810 tablet. T380! It's incredible! br>br>Because the adhesive is already on the back of this screen, you must be very careful when peeling off the clear plastic backing or you will remove the adhesive. The tools included in this kit aren't particularly useful for replacing a screen. You'll need to buy a set of ultra-thin pry tools because they're too thick. br>br>This replacement screen has exceeded my expectations. My screen was replaced, but you wouldn't know it. It appears to be fantastic!.
Everything is in order. It is simple to put together. At first, the touch screen didn't work, but when I opened it again, I noticed that the connection wasn't fully pushed in. Before disconnecting the broken screen, make a note of how far the connection has been pushed in. Ensure that the new connection is pushed all the way in. Long-term adhesion is unknown at this time. Several aftermarket screens have been reported to crack while being installed. There was no problem for me.
Others have mentioned a lack of adhesive, which I initially assumed was the case, but it is present and has already been applied. It will come off with the clear protective film if you are not *extremely* careful. I had to lift a corner and use a razor to separate the film from the clear sheet, then work it off slowly. A small defect, which appeared to be a chip in the glass, was visible after installation. I'm not sure if it just happened that way or if it was my fault. Finally, there is a cleaning cloth included, and some installation videos demonstrate how to clean the LCD or glass. Make every effort to keep dust, lint, and breath away from it. It's difficult to clean, and it appeared to leave streaks that were even worse than before.
My Samsung Galaxy SM-G900's screen was broken, so I had to replace it. T380. The most difficult part was getting the old one off, but once that was done and cleaned up, installing the new one was a breeze. The adhesive strip was pre-installed and stayed in place well. This screen, in my opinion, does not show fingerprints as badly as the original. I would strongly advise you to watch a couple of instructional videos on YouTube. To get the old one off, you'll need to use a heat source. My heat gun and the tools that came with it were put to good use. It came off with a little effort and without causing any damage.
Overall, the quality was satisfactory, and it was well-fitting. Although the adhesive was not particularly strong, it was adequate. Regardless, the digitizer was never functional, which was the final straw for me. I assembled it and attempted multiple times in various ways to get the digitizer to work, but it never did, and I'm still stuck with a tablet that turns on but cannot be used.
The tablet's screen was cleaned up. When I gently yanked the tab that peels the protection film off the new screen glass, all of the adhesive peeled off with it, rather than remaining on the glass. It is not possible to use it. It was a waste of money.
With relative ease, I was able to repair my son's tablet. I used a YouTube video for support, but it didn't come with the adhesive to adhere it to the tablet. Aside from that, everything was fine.
