For me, this LCD display was ideal. I had an unusual situation where my son broke the LCD screen but not the glass or digitizer, so this was ideal; I bought it on Amazon for the one-time cost because I was in a hurry to replace it. Day shipping is available, but the same item is available for about $30 less on eBay. As a result, I wish things were a little less expensive here. br>br>Getting the adhesive out from beneath the glass was the most difficult part of the repair. To remove the adhesive, they only include a suction cup and a guitar pick, but for this price, I'd expect it to include some sort of very flat and thin precision knife to get beneath the screen. With only a suction cup and a hair dryer, it took an eternity to get it off. br>br>Overall, the screen is in perfect working order, and the image quality is identical.

I replaced my daughter's cracked screen, and I, too, was unaware of the LCD screen's sensitivity. When I tried to remove the screen, I scratched the LCD. That, I assumed, was the cause of the LCD's failure. Without realizing it, I must have pushed too hard on the corner. In any case, I ordered this LCD, and it was flawless! I connected it and replaced the screen, which I purchased from Amazon's Fixcracked seller. And it was ideal because all of my daughter's apps remained installed and ready to use.

After my son's iPad screen was shattered, I replaced it. Because of the severe damage to the glass, I ended up damaging the LCD and had to order this. We've gotten back into the swing of things and are as good as new. The glass is the only part that is difficult to install; simply look up a YouTube video and you'll be done in under 30 minutes. Instead of paying someone to do something I can do myself, I prefer to do it myself.

After a seven-year hiatus, I decided to try something year- When our iPad's screen cracked after being dropped, I ordered a replacement glass face. It took a lot of effort to remove the old glass. In order to unplug the broken screen and replace it, the LCD screen inside had to be lifted out of the way. I eventually discovered two hidden screws, totaling four, that held the LCD in place. I had no idea how delicate the LCD screen was until I reassembled it and noticed vertical lines. It's a huge pain! This LCD replacement was ordered, and it arrived quickly and in good condition! I dismantled it and replaced the LCD, as well as reinstalling the software. The new exterior screen was installed. It appears to be brand new.

Good LCD! It's not easy to pry the digitizer away from the LCD. And it takes a lot of skill. Get the digitizer as well (as a backup) if you're serious about this project. Oh, and the back of the iPad has your model number etched on it.
