My first impression is that this item meets all my needs. In regards to the ball, I am concerned about - A common problem with mounting fixtures like these is that the ball can become loose over time, as I've observed with my car's phone mounts. It's not great there are so many weights on the ball joints. Exacerbating the problem is the fact that the tablets are pretty heavy. In terms of ball joint feel, I can tell you right now that it feels pretty tight, but if you set the angle and leave it alone, or just remember to loosen the nut prior to making adjustments, I think you'll get good mileage I feel this is a really good implementation of a ball joint at this price. Furthermore, I do worry about the neoprene pieces on the cradle wearing out over time, but again, as a part of the price, it's hard to take 1 star off. Prior to purchasing this, one thing I did wonder was how large of an OD the clamp could handle, and if it could clamp onto my mic stand (9/16" for the inner poles which telescope up), and I've added a picture of the center pole of the microphone stand. It feels secure on the mic stand when the clamp is closed up completely. I would prefer if there were a little more room to close the clamp, but as it is, I could live with it. It holds securely as it is, and I think I can add some material around the pole to make it slightly thicker or even slightly sand the tip of the clamps I wasn't expecting such a good deal at that price. In summary, this is a really nice tablet mount that I would recommend, and based on the research I did of other tablet mounts on Amazon, I expect you will have to pay up to four times more to get something.

I love it. Buying phone and iPad holders has wasted a lot of money for all of us. The fact that I bought a second one is surprising to me -- The two of them are actually related. As for me, I need to suspend two iPads for an upcoming event booth, so I decided to try these. The exercise bike at my gym is equipped with this, so I purchased it for use on the exercise bike. Streaming TV on my iPad while exercising is my favorite pastime. I can listen to music over Bluetooth with a pair of headphones. I was just looking for something like this.
