This is an exact replica of the 35mm negative holder that came with my Epson V600 Scanner, as far as I could tell by looking at it. I placed an order for a back-up plan. Because these are made of flimsy light-weight materials, you'll have to order them from Amazon. They are made of light weight plastic and are quite delicate to handle when in use. I'm looking for a back-up plan. As a precaution, I've set it up. The bubble envelope in which this one arrived from Amazon was shattered. As a result, I've requested a refund from Amazon and will place another order.
The Epson v600 is listed as a compatible printer. That is not the case. This item is unsuitable for scanning. I'm returning it, but I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't claim to be able to do something it can't.
The plastic has no weight, and the paint on it is ugly and has an awkward snap to it. It works fine, but it feels incredibly cheap. The original has a nice, smooth pop sound to it. in pop- less of a feeling sticky? It's a mediocre replacement for the original, but there aren't many alternatives if you lose the original. It appears to be effective. I just prefer to work with something that isn't as difficult to pry apart when it comes to my delicate film.
The product was damaged when it arrived. It's a lot more fragile than the Epson scanner that came with it. During shipping, one of the corners of the plastic broke.
Because I scan a lot of negatives, having an extra negative frame comes in handy. I can load one frame while scanning the other, which makes the process go faster. Everything is in order.
If you're trying to shoot with a 35mm camera, The holder is twisted and of low quality. Don't bother getting these if you're trying to use 35mm ANR glass made for the original Epson holder because it won't fit.
The plastic is of poor quality. The scanner's original film holder has been used for 1500 negatives and is still going strong.
