The following two drawbacks are present *(1) when connecting the device it requires TWO USB-connected devices I want all C ports to work, but all i get is ONE back With this bundle, you get three USB 3. 0 ports. You lose one USB 2. 0 and HDMI, but you gain two USB 3. I am in the process of creating a C port. There is a second USB cable In my opinion, the C slot would have been more useful than the MicroSD or Nano-SD slots. (3) The unit sits flush against the left bottom edge of the MacBook - it is long and thin. This accessory interferes with the bottom portion of a MacBook case, and it is unable to fit inside one while the bottom case covers are on If the bottom case cover is not removed, then you will not be able to do this. It is a nice unit with a reasonable price, but the drawbacks rob it of one star.

It's a no-brainer In general, this product receives a solid four out of five. I like the feel of it in my hand, and I think it's got a good weight. There's no feeling of flimsiness at all, rather it feels quite robust. As a result, I have noted that I must plug the USB cable into the Macbook either prior to starting up or I need to restart it in order to use the USB ports. It is merely an annoyance when plugging a cable in to see port connectors upside down it is not an issue with functionality. We have attached some photos to the review to give you a better sense of what the ports are like.

I had an issue getting my USBs into it due to tight spaces and I was afraid to break them, but they fit snugly The case on my laptop made no sense to me at all, since I wanted something that would sit flat against the The case had to be cut to allow the adapter to fully plug in but I should've taken that into account so no fault of the product. The HDMI hasn't been tested yet, but all the other features are completely functional.

It was almost always the SD slot that I accessed when traveling for media downloads from cameras and I had the very expensive miniDP to HDMI cable to watch videos and movies on larger screens. Those things are no longer there. I was able to meet all my needs with this handy device! We are also happy that there is a MicroSD slot on this device! This adapter is fantastic. I'm very happy with it.

They worked as expected once they were opened. I felt like it was made almost entirely of plastic, cheap, and extremely lightweight. After a couple of days, I was happy. One of the USB ports stopped working in less than a week. The item should have been returned since I was within the refund period, but the one I received was okay, so I kept it I just kept using it since it did not have a USB port. The project continued to work that way for a few weeks, then I decided to put it aside once the job I was doing was finished. I reconnected it a few months later to start a new job and the second USB port stopped working and then within a couple of days the connection to the Macbook itself became so weak that anything plugged into it lost connection with the computer, which is really bad for In addition to If it is working correctly, it may not be able to be used for some tasks.
