I hate this. This product has been in my possession for several months. If you have a case on your Mac, this will not be as firmly held. When it moves even a tiny amount, it loses It can be easily snatched out of the bag because it isn't securely fastened in. This happened when I accidentally stepped over a charger cable that was plugged into this port, and the entire thing snapped out and bent instantly. There was no way I could have moved the computer even if I tripped hard enough. In conclusion, I should mention- The first one I bought had to be replaced - Using a cord that simply plugs in to my MacBook, this time. (I didn't buy it again) I definitely would not buy this again.

My friend has a new MacBook, we decided to get a hard case for it, so I was looking for one. This item is almost perfect for me, as I have a tendency to drop things around. As well as the hard case, I received an adapter that connects to USB and other input types. Since this connects to the computer in such a way that the case blocks it, it would not function. I'd initially remove the bottom part manually when I wanted to use this, but that soon became a waste of time. As opposed to using one that plugs in using a cord, I returned it for one that uses a single cord, which I do not like as much but at least allows me to keep the case on and protect my MacBook.

Using this product is a pleasant experience. Please take note My regular usage of the HDMI and USB ports is limited to those two ports. In the past, I used to think, 'I sure wish they were just built into the computer,' but now I see the benefits of not having them on your computer. The one in my office and the one in my home each have their own. Every one of them has a power adapter hooked up, so I just leave them hooked up. This means that instead of plugging in my printers and video, etc. every time I move my computer, I can leave them plugged in. There is only one connector to plug in, so you don't have to worry about where it goes, or if that USB jack is upright.

The caveat is you have to remember to take one when travelling with the computer.

My second monitor is connected to an RGB to HDMI adapter and it works nicely. I also have a good experience with my usb keyboard. With two hubs, I can unplug the hub and go without being forced to unplug several things at the same time.

I required at least 2 ports so I've been using a Dell adapter provided by my employer. This year's inch is The HDMI port on my monitor is what I use. I have no problems using my headphone charger with USB ports. As a whole, I am satisfied with this product.

I can use it either on the left or on the right side of my Because my monitor is on the right and I have a short HDMI cable, I prefer to use the right side. Minimalism and short cable length are my preferences.

Either on a Mac or on a Windows 10 partition, it works just fine. If you're going to get one of those nice covers for your laptop, you might want to get one that connects to the computer via a cable because this hub doesn't work with those covers.
