Linux is the operating system I use. There is a nice monitor in my house. It is so easy to plug in just one cord and boom! I don't have any issues. I have a piece of advice for Linux, as well as Windows users. To use Anker as a charger pass-through, you will need an Adapter of at least 85 watts or more if you want to use it as a docking port. It will do everything for you, so you don't need to do this. You can use the adapter if you want the convenience of simply plugging your laptop in to use it and charge it.
There is no guarantee that USB c will support display port 4K, but I believe it should be possible. I have not tested the USB port or display port on my Dell monitor, but HDMI works just fine.
Power delivery isn't permitted until you have a 12-volt port, for example At 18W, they charge very quickly. There will be some charge on your phone, but it will be very slow. An external SSD or dongle on the same bus can have trouble due to the extra draw on the bus The Anker brick is the size of the standard iPad brick, but it has a 60W PD port for your computer and an 18W PD port for I like the fact that it's reasonably priced and does the job
A previous version of this hub required 20 Watts to run, while the upgraded version only needs 15 Watts.

Don't be reckless! Connected it (charger to PD port, HDMI, USB A) to my MacBook 16", and it worked fine for the first couple hours before the smoke started smelling. I restarted the MacBook and it worked for another couple hours. All the ports aren't working after it's been powered back on.
As the comments about this product frying ports on a MacBook Pro indicate, I should have taken heed of them. I have experienced this exact same problem, and now I have an entirely bricked MacBook. If you have a MacBook Pro, do not buy this.
My trial of another hub ended up being sent to me. The output is zero. Anker, thanks for your kind words! In my opinion, this product is high quality
+ It comes with a nice pouch
+ Has all of the ports I need
+ I plugged it into my PC laptop and it worked fine.
Cons Please note - The manufacturer claims the device can handle 100 Watts. Although I am not sure if it was a defect, it was at least A maximum power rating of 65W* - Displaying HDMI on a Mac requires 2 HDMI ports. As a result, the refresh rate drops to 50hz (I don't have this problem on PC, but it will only go up to 60hz on my 144hz display). I will return this adapter and look for an alternative. Anker is usually a great partner for me, but this time I did not have great luck.
A solid build quality - (This is an updated review) With only a few ounces, it holds quite a bit of weight. A table won't slide around on the desk too much compared with an all-metal one The hubs I use at work are plastic. It is possible to connect both a MacBook Air and a Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 (Core m3) to HDMI. Over USB, there is decent transfer speed. I have not had any problems with power delivery, but it’s worth noting that when I first got this, my 30W charger delivered only I reached out to Anker, they promptly responded and told me that it has a 15W overhead, and suggested I use a 45 or 60W charger instead. My MacBook detected 45W of power while I tested it, so everything appears to be going well. Even though it makes sense that a hub would use some power, 15W seems a lot, but now it seems to be working fine. While I told them it'd be helpful to have this clearly stated, I also mentioned that the product listing should clearly state this. Even though I had a false start with this hub, I am extremely pleased with Anker's excellent customer support, which I have changed The update is after using it at my home office for a week now It is performing perfectly, so there is no lag when switching My Chromebook is able to output HDMI to a 34" ultra widescreen 2440x1080 monitor, however the Mac reports it has a refresh rate of 59hz, whereas my Chromebook is limited to 60hz. Although the 97hz may not be quite high enough for basic productivity, it's more than adequate. As soon as the Unified receiver is plugged in, both devices will automatically pick it up. Neither USB nor WiFi worked for me Currently, I do not have access to the C data port, but I assume it will work out of the box. Besides warming up slightly even when charging devices and transferring data, the hub does not get overheated, which is more than I expected since similar products have complained about getting too hot. As soon as I get back from vacation I will probably buy another to use when traveling.
The MacBook Pro 2019, 16-inch I own was $5k after tax (64 GB RAM, 2 TB hard drive, maximum A MacBook that the buyer purchased two months ago sits in a repair shop two months later with no power to any of its ports, which leaves the computer out of battery and unable to function. AppleCare repair is covered, but guess what - an additional fee applies AppleCare does not cover data recovery by a third party repair shop (Apple claims that privacy concerns outweigh the need to offer this service -- It is 100% likely that the hard drive is going to be lost without a data recovery because the hard drive is sodered to the logic board.
The genius bar rep said that Anker hubs have caused this particular issue in MacBook pro notebooks. My use of this hub just so happened to coincide with my use of the According to one report, there is an update for Big Sur that fixes the problem because the Anker devices aren't regulating the amount of power going to the computer properly. The problem with Big Sur is that it has compatibility issues, so I don't wish There will be a bill of $700 - $800 for the data recovery. The 2700 is not covered by Apple, so now I will have to buy a different brand of USB hub (because in the past I have liked the quality of the Anker hubs). There are five steps to it My Mac, which has all of the documents I require for my job, will be returned to me in approximately seven business days. My machine was $2k when I bought it two months ago, and I'm now scrambling to pay it off. While I cannot prove that Anker is to blame, I wanted to add my case to the mosaic since it seems clear that many people are facing the same issue and they just so happen to use this hub and Apple had to issue an update to fix the problem. I was told by the apple genius bar employee that Anker actually paid for someone's repair in one case since their AppleCare had expired. The Anker experience has been horribly disappointing. I also find it very frustrating to see forum posts the other people had a year ago regarding this very issue. This is still being sold, so why is it It would be nice if there was a warning Are there any supporters of a class action suit?.
