Questions & Answers

The new MacBook Air is expected to launch in 2020, so will this fit?

You can buy the Anker USB C Hub for MacBook and the PowerExpand Direct 7-inch A USB C to USB C Adapter for the new 2020 MacBook Air will be compatible.

What is the compatibility of this with the 2020 MacBook Pro 16"?

There has yet to be a release date for the 2020 MacBook Pro 16". As I understand, we do not test the Anker USB C Hub for MacBook, PowerExpand Direct 7-port USB C Hub It is not yet clear whether the 2020 MacBook Pro 16" will have two USB C adapters. Our next step will be to figure it out.

I find that it fits well on the left side of my Macbook Pro Do you have an adapter comparable to that for the right side of my Macbook?

I'm glad what you say about it fitting perfectly on the left side of your MacBook Pro. It is our unfortunate inability to provide a similar adapter for the right edge

The design is sleek and clean

There is room for improvement in terms of functionality. Anker 7-pin Mini USB is a good product at a reasonable price compared to its HyperDrive brand. However, there is also an Anker 7-pin Mini USB available. It is my opinion that the one hub I compared to was both more functional and lower priced (but looked Because of this, I am returning this item and getting the other one instead. The biggest problem I have with this 7-inch tablet is its poor screen resolution The benefit of the Dual USB 2 hub is that it takes up TWO USB ports It allows you to use ONE of the USB-C ports, but not both PD Charging or Display to an External Monitor on the C ports of this hub despite the fact that this hub only has two USB ports The C ports are on the back. Is it not possible to have one dedicated to charging and the other to be used as I know the hub comes with an HDMI port, but I cannot do 4K 60Hz through that port. Additionally, if I wanted to charge my phone while using two external displays, the hub is not capable of that. Although I may be able to move the charging cable to the other side of the MacBook, I might as well purchase a second Anker 7-in-1 instead. There is only one hub that uses one of the MacBook's USB ports Therefore, the USB-C port can be used instead of the neighboring USB-A ports For me I could use a 4K 60Hz external display connected to a USB type C port. Please don't take my review as a scathing one, it's still a pretty decent product (aside from the flickering display Another reviewer also criticized this hub for its shortcomings. According to their comments, they were generally pleased with the outcome. A device that is supposed to be a desktop "dock" for a computer, however, is going to be difficult to meet my expectations. It didn't work like I expected. I expected to plug one thing in and everything would work like magic, so I wasn't satisfied with the result. It might have been in the best interest for me had this hub also come with an Ethernet port and a Thunderbolt 2 port, otherwise I might have settled for the inadequate USB-only version It is a C design, but neither of them come with it, so I will need to find another option. It occurs to me that the technology is already available to pull off making USB-based devices It is possible to work with Cs. A device such as the Apple ProDisplay can charge, display, record, and access data all through one port, so I believe Anker can do the same!.

You will need one USB stick A hub from Anker called the C hub

With the addition of the 16" MacBook Pro to the family, I wanted to save weight and space by carrying fewer In addition, I have a 13-inch MacBook Pro (2018), so I wanted a solution that would work with both of them without sacrificing anything. My Anker works flawlessly on both of my MacBooks and delivers the high quality I expect. I have trouble charging my phone On either unit, the charging rate is full and no issues have occurred so far In the process, it hasn't gotten very warm. My surprise came when I expected it to be a bake fest and I returned it to you.

Plugs and Ports It was unnecessary for me to take There is no way I will ever adopt the MacBook hub craze as I did not like its fit into my MacBook. It is the first time a dual battery has been used As with my Macs, I use port type devices, but this one fits very well and I don't feel like a lot of force is needed to make it On the receiving end, the card slots are equally accommodating, which means that your cards won't be lost, but they're still effectively held. Is a USB-based device The ports of my C-series devices are responsive and have worked with all charging cables and dongles I own. The quality of the A's is classic Anker. The more I think about this, the more I like it. Connecting and unplugging things is actually my favorite part of this game. A few brands come to mind In UNI) that I wonder if "this is the time" when they will break on me or hold on to The Anker seems to be doing well so far. - How peripherals work - What peripherals do As I only use portables on it a few times, I have not tested NVME much yet, but SSD seems to be not affected by that at all. *There is only (1) DisplayPort port on this device Therefore, if you want to connect two screens to one side of the MacBook - this is how you do it There will have to be a change in that. A) over the charge port.

In addition to the fitting the ports well, I should also mention that If you are using a MacBook Pro or Air 13", this should generally coincide with your working surface and the edge of the laptop. It does have a little gap under it since the height of the unit is 12" higher. Even so, it does not break the top edge, so if you put your hand over it, it will not irritate you. The Long Version I have been in it for about a week at the time of this review. My office and home are both clutter-free so I can test this properly. I've removed all docks for testing, and have refilled the laptop with batteries. It's a bit more expensive at 60 dollars than other options, but it still performs well. The cons are I suppose the price is what Gig E Ethernet port wouldn't bother me at its 60$ price point, or you could wait for a sale if you do not care about the port. There's a big ANKER on top of it that kind of annoys me. The pros are Interface of known brand, works well with many years of MacBook models and no driver problems have been reported. The latest models are compatible with the The color matches the Apple Space Gray quite well. Please let me know if this review has been helpful, otherwise contact me via email If you have any ideas on how to change this, please leave me a comment! Thank you for taking the time to read my review, Chris.

In terms of design and usability, it falls short
3/5

Anker products don't usually fulfill my expectations. Usually, Anker finds its way into my life as my go-to charger. If you need a power bank, chargers, or high-end battery aftermarket, stick to the brand that gets the job done Ensure that the cables are of high quality. One issue
1. There is a need to reduce the size of this item. I found it to be too I can feel about a 1/16" to 1/8" "step" when the cable is plugged into the side of my MacBook Pro. In view of those things, despite the fact that I was looking forward to this item, I won't be keeping it and I can't They need to take a hard look at their lower-priced competitors' products and fix their design issues as soon as possible Otherwise, this product is solid, and I would love to try a redesigned and revised version.
