In order for this "hub" adapter to function, a 12 watt power source is required, since it has ports that are typically found on a PC, laptop, Mac, and so on. To use this device, you need some type of device that can power it through USB, whether that is a laptop, PC, Mac, or some other type of device. In the event that it is not connected to a computer, then it is necessary to purchase a portable USB-C charger To use it as a mobile device, you need to plug the USB connector into the C port.
I received this gift from my son, who sent me a 2020 Dell Inspiron 15 5000 with one USB 3.0 port to use with Windows 10 on a 2020 DELL Inspiron which has just one USB 3.0 port. There are two types of Gen 2 This adapter has an Ethernet port but does not have a C port. There are two USB3 ports on this adapter. USB is a data cable If the SanDisk external SSD is connected to the C PD/Input port, it does not recognize There may be a C port only for Mac or iPad that is used as an input or PD port, but not for Windows. The C port needs to be returned to me, so I will ask him to do so. 1) I will buy a USB flash drive Ethernet hub with type A connector and Ethernet 3

Because it has only ONE USB C charging port and NO USB C data port, it is not a 7 in 1 like the "older" model to which it is supposed to be a replacement. I returned it since it is essentially worthless to me.
I'm going to base this on the fact that I love the quality of ALL Anker products, but this hub lets You will not see the limitations or hiccups of this hub if you do not use it for multimedia purposes and use it to work on your laptop. I use this for live streaming at church and working on my laptop, so I have two It has been a fantastic experience working with this device. This USB C dock comes with a 60w USB C power supply, an SSD, and a Micro SD card I have plugged in Ethernet and HDMI (no screen flicker) and this device is nearly perfect except for the Ethernet not keeping up with the 400mb download speed and the maximum 350mb is only available when the Ethernet is plugged in. A 370mb connection. However, in my multimedia set up, this guy fails in a bad way and produces a lot With the set up I have, I have a SD card, a USB microphone, and a USB There is a 5mm audio jack, a 60W USB C PD (power delivery) port, and an HDMI port. Almost 30 percent of all audio entering the system is affected by interference. In this case, the only way to fix it is to remove the USB This is a very unfortunate situation.
With this unit, I am attempting to provide wired LAN to the MacBook Air mid-2018 using the power delivery and the Ethernet cable connected to the unit. Power is provided, and the ethernet port is lit as if transferring data, but the MBA does not see the LAN. An apple Ethernet can be connected to a USB 2. 0 port if I attach it. Plugging in the USB 0 adapter into a USB port and connecting with Ethernet is a snap. I can see the LAN connection as soon as I plug it in, and it appears in the Network Services system panel as expected. Directly connected to the USB port is when the Ethernet cable is used I am not connected to the LAN via the C hub.
It works perfectly, and all the features that are advertised do work, so I'm giving it five stars even though I wish it were slightly better. SD+HDMI+Ethernet in one small device was what attracted me to it. It does not work at 4K@60Hz, but does work at 4K@30Hz (only 4K@30 was advertised). 4k@60 is a pretty rare feature to find on these devices, though I would have liked to have it. While I could watch 1080p@120Hz, I had to turn off the AWE mode on the hub itself. The hub consumes a great deal of power and has a maximum of 48W passthrough. According to the manual, a PD (Power Delivery) charger with 60W of power is recommended Powered by 48W for the connecting laptop and 12W for the hub, this hub needs 48W. " The 48W charger is showing up properly as a 60W charger when I connect my 60W Nekteck charger to the hub. Yet, my Lenovo 65W charger only appears to be a 48W charger when I connect it to my laptop. The USB-type bridge connects your computer to a USB port The C PD input can only be used for charging, not as a USB data port. A USB drive I have A C headphone adapter also does not work through it on my phone. A Realtek chipset is used in the Ethernet port (Realtek USB GbE Family Controller) according to the device's Ethernet port specifications. There are no issues with Windows 10 ports. The USB charging, USB A, MicroSD, SD and HDMI ports on my Android 9 tablet work as well. Fortunately, I was unable to get my Android phone to connect to an Ethernet port.
My iPad works great with this app! USB C power and HDMI ports work, as well as USB C for HDMI and HDMI for TV.
In my case, I bought this to use with my Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th Gen laptop, and it works just fine. As a full-time employee, I am able to When I'm not at my desk, I use this to provide additional ports when I don't have a Thunderbolt dock at the office There are a couple USB3 ports, as well as an HDMI port. There are five USB 3. 0 ports, an SD/Micro SD card slot, and Ethernet access. As a nice surprise, I connected it to a Galaxy Note 10 and it worked completely. My HDMI monitor showed up on the DeX desktop environment, and it worked as expected. Having used products from Anker before, I have come to expect good quality from them, and this one does not disappoint. There is really one criticism I can make about Anker their USB hubs provide a confusing array of specifications A small sample of C hubs were provided, with no information on the differences between each one. Despite this, I was pretty satisfied with this unit, but there are more expensive options out there. You can get high-end models at the high-end of the market The price at which the job will be completed.
As I was installing my new Macbook Air, I had a chance to try out all the ports. Despite not using the HDMI port, I found it to work quite well compared to the native HDMI on my Mac mini late 2014. Playing the same 4K Sony demo video on both computers yielded the same results. Apple's Macbook Air outperformed the Mini primarily because of its newer graphics card. I tried both USB C and USB A ports. The data moved very well between all the compatible devices. This is the case for SDLC card ports as well. In regard to the 1G Ethernet port, I set it up to my router and tested the speed. My wifi worked just as well as it Afterward, I copied a couple files from an ethernet-connected Windows machine. That was very fast as you would expect, and it was all accomplished while my iPhone was charging. Since it keeps working, I can't think of anything else to complain about.
Also, I used the PD USB-port to charge my iPhone 11 fast I was able to connect my iPhone to the computer through the USB-C port as well, but note that it doesn't sync with the computer through USB-C It can only be used for fast charging using a Type-C port. There is a RJ45 network port on the adapter that is the only complaint I have. My jack works fine and I always receive a hard wired connection when using it, so that's not an issue. There is an issue with the port being just a hair smaller than a standard RJ45 port, so it is extremely tight to unplug a network cable from the adapter. I have tested this with a variety of my types and types of documents The same results are obtained when using many different Cat5 or Cat6 cables. However, it does not make a difference, and it still works perfectly as is. adapter from the computer is a challenge since it's very hard to remove because it's very tight. I don't want anything to break.
