I think just about anything with a USB port will work.
It is true. Ripple marks will be left if it occurs. In that case, there is definitely unnecessary pressure being put on the screen, which can cause ripples to not truncate.
It might be possible. Neither of us own an iMac 27" but if it had a camera in the same location as the iMac it would block the cam. It might help if you read this.

The short version It is a premium light bar at a premium price. Would recommend if budget is not a major concern
Like the title suggests, I really wanted to hate the BenQ Screenbar so that I would have a reason Due to its steep $100 price point, I found it difficult to justify the purchase in the beginning, but I ended up enjoying it much more than I anticipated. In most of my review, I will compare it with the TORCHSTAR Computer Monitor Light, and I will also post a similar review on that product. I would like to give you a My preferred lighting technique when I am working at my desk and using my computer has always been task lighting. I had been using an architect lamp from Ikea up until about a week ago, but then I upgraded to a monitor stand to give myself more desk space, and now my monitors are too high to use that type of During my research, I came across the BenQ Screenbar and similar styled lamps (i. e. Monitor light for Torchstar computer monitor)- Thanks to reading reviews and shopping around, I was able to narrow it down to those 2 (especially I went ahead and purchased both from Amazon and after using the BenQ Screenbar a little, I decided to keep it. I paid $99 for the BenQ light at the time of purchase. There are two models the TORCHSTAR $57 and the WINTERSTAR $00. 77 dollars. 99 dollars $199 and To demonstrate the "differences" between the lights I've included photos of the 2 sets All the pictures are taken with the lights at maximum brightness and with maximum warmth or coolness. For consistency, all photos are shot at the same exposure settings and with the same white balance. The pros are Please note (I'm not sure if the LEDs actually get brighter or if there are simply more LEDs, however this was one of the major factors in my decision to go with this device)*- The illumination area is longer I designed this 5" longer than last year's TORCHSTAR)*. I like the auto LED because it is green and milder (it hurts my eyes less than the bright I feel more secure with the clamp - There is a noticeable improvement in the responsiveness and intuitiveness of the controls (sometimes I was not sure if the torchstar was working but As well, the brightness or color always alternated between touches with the Torchstar, so it was very difficult to set the exact level)
- It feels more premium when using the flat cable USB. CONS Please note I think the price tag for a fancy USB LED strip is a bit high - In the TORCHSTAR there is no diffuser over the LEDs (this is in part of choice, since diffused light scatters more, but it hurts to look directly into the flat LEDs, and the diffuser wasn't too noticeable on the TORCHSTAR). The torchstar has a noticeable flicker when dimming (which is slightly disappointing, as I cannot tell if the lights are working sometimes)
- The auto mode does not disable if you press it again (as it does on the torchstar)*
- To adjust the clamp tightness on Torchstar, an allen key is provided (the BenQ board appears to have a similar access panel, but no key)
SImilarities Please note With curved monitors, both seem to work quite well. *(I use a Samsung CF398 27" monitor as my primary display and a Samsung CF390 24" monitor as my secondary display) There are LED strips on both to minimize glare on the monitors (some Chinese knockoffs aren't built well, so they create a lot of glare). Both of these light bars really work well
At the end of the day, I can definitely recommend both, but I personally preferred the BenQ more and am willing to pay more There are a few issues I have with the TORCHSTAR, but they are mostly small and won't even be observable if you don't change the settings much. I should continue to update this review once I have used it as well as try to answer any questions that might arise. Whenever I review something, I will include a helpful button so that you can let me know it was.
Why does that happen? The first few weeks of my experience with this light were wonderful. Changing my entire setup made a huge difference to how well the light illuminates my desk. Despite this, it has ceased to work for whatever reason. The problem started about a month ago, and it won't turn on until I unplug and plug it back in again. This is annoying. There is no way this is worth 1 star, it's too expensive to have this kind of issues in the first month. Please let me know if anyone has an idea of how to fix it.
The person who says to surround yourself with beautiful and useful things is always right. I own a MacBook Pro and a LG 32UD99-V and currently use a MacBook Pro for consulting and software development Monitor measuring 32" in width and 4K in resolution. A very useful and beautiful piece of writing. I have just fallen in love with this lamp, which is simple, beautiful, and is a perfect addition to my work area. As well as not taking up any space on my desk, it draws power directly from my monitor (make sure your USB port is capable of delivering steady 5V power) and illuminates the space between me and the monitor beautifully. A USB cable was used to power my 15" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar It allows me to get data from my monitor to the USB hub on the back of my monitor via the same USB cable My laptop is connected to my monitor via an Apple C cable, so the lamp goes out automatically when I disconnect it from the monitor. I love that it is beautiful, useful, and smart at the same time have been so thrilled with the functionality and design of the lamp that I've recommended it to several of my clients who love it as well. I would like to thank BenQ for your good work! Please note It is most likely that your USB ports do not provide the lamp with enough power to function properly if the switches are not working.
This monitor's light does not spill onto the screen, but only onto your work space and your keyboard and I love that it can be easily changed to the daylight color temperature, since I always like my lighting to be the daylight The brightness of the light area and their direction can also be adjusted according to your needs. ". As far as I am concerned, it is extremely helpful, and I just wish it existed when I first bought my computer. If you find that you need some light on your workspace, then get this.
