A fan like this comes in handy when it's hot! The temperature was about 86° F with a light wind at 4pm. Starting with the fan on medium, I set it to low. Even in direct sunlight, it prevented me from getting too hot. I switched the fan to low about 730 pm to make sure the sun would set before it went down. I noticed the battery level had gone down by one light out of three by the time I finished fishing at 8pm. If you are wearing the headset, one important thing to keep in mind is that the fan itself may be quiet, but the air blowing right over your ears won't be. The fan itself is not at fault for that. I have sweaty hands and always detest the end of spring, especially when it's hot outside. From the moment I got it, I have used it every day in the sun. We have seen a big difference since we started! Although at first I was worried about it drying out my contacts, I am glad to report it has no effect on Three speed settings are nice, and I like how it has an adjustable band. It seems durable, and so far the battery has held a charge for days on end. keep in mind is that it creates a lot of noise. This is a decently quiet fan, but a fan none the less, and right next to your ear. In my experience, it makes no difference, but it is worth mentioning depending on how you intend to utilize it. Yesterday I put together a chicken coop while wearing this, and I was surprised by how cool I stayed.
