In order to keep them warm, it is necessary to keep them plugged in all of the time.
A man with large hands will not be able to wear them. It is pretty tight on me, as I wear a ladies medium.
A cable can be up to 47 1/2 inches long, and a cable attached to a glove is up to 4 inches long, from cuff to end of cable. From the pictures, it appears that the USB cable can be separated and attached to each arm separately.

The first thing to note is that Powered by USB connections, they need to be plugged in. For me, I use the devices primarily while I'm in my basement, which can get cold occasionally. Since they can be connected to a USB battery pack, such as is used for backup battery power, they are portable, but from that standpoint, I don't use them while traveling. Buying these for typing while getting some warmth for my hands was my intention. They serve that purpose very well. In our experience, wearing fingerless gloves requires some minor adjustments on the typing keyboard because we normally don't type with gloves on, but they only took a few minutes to get used to. Having gloves that keep you warm is also helpful - by themselves, they would be great, but with the heating element, they are even more helpful. As long as I place the heating element in my palm, I am able to type or use my phone or mouse without problem.
My guess is that I'll send them back. It seems that the warmers are always in motion. As I expected, these warmers were throughout the gloves, but it appears it is a square, maybe 2 inches by 2 inches (guesstimate) in size, that just keeps moving around. I bought these for my pain in my hands as well. The reason I keep my hands warm is more than just to keep them So I needed them to do more than simply warm my hands, because that square always seems to find its way there. It's a little annoying! You can use them to warm your hands if you are buying them for that purpose. There may be just one area in which the warmer is in that specific time frame.
Extremely disappointed with the product. I couldn't find a USB power supply cable when I purchased the gloves. Announcing an update I appreciate the seller going out of their way to contact me and send me a replacement pair of gloves. These gloves are lightweight and not bulky like some other options I looked at so it makes it easier to type with them. It is really nice that you replaced the gloves when I was not at home. I am extremely grateful.
In the places where the fingers have been cut off and sewn, they are unraveling. There was a hole in one glove's palm and it had unraveled, thus growing in size. The little square patch that heats up is only on one side of the glove and has Velcro so it can be moved to either the palm or the back. In the description it states that "[HALF FINGER GLOVES W/ FINGER COVER]". I have the problem that one side heats up more quickly than the other. I almost burned my hand on the warmer side. A half finger designed for typing, gaming, and keeping the finger tips warm when not typing. It's got a finger cover that can be unfolded when not in use to hide the finger tips when not used. It is evident from the photo that this function is not available on the gloves.
It is really convenient to have a heating element. A replacement pair of gloves will be sent to us once the first ones have been replaced (they were not properly seamed). Previously, I had ordered gloves with the wrong number of holes (for wrist and fingers, and thumb) but now I'm getting replaced ones.
Gloves of average quality at the most. I have small hands (size s or m in any glove) and they're a tight fit. There is no temperature setting or power switch on the heating element. It is a 2"x2" square unit, and depending on which glove you wear on your hand, the element either warms your palm or back of your hand. Whenever a USB power source is plugged into them, they are on, and otherwise they are on The wearing of these results in tying you up to your desk.
Judging by the amount of loose threads, it appears that they were not originally intended to be fingerless gloves either. The gloves are not comfortable at all, and they are so tight around the fingers that they do not help to warm the fingers, which is what I was supposed to use them for. My gloves almost ripped off the heating element when I tried to put them on because it is so cheap.
The gloves are not described in any detail as to how they should be used. The glove has what looks like a medical electrode (glued in) with a cord sticking out from the outside. There is a USB charger included with it. Afterward, I recharged each glove to a reasonable temperature and they got As soon as I put on the gloves and unplugged them, the heat disappeared. I can't get any heat out of the heating element! So are you supposed to wear them while they're Since they are powered by a single cord, you cannot use them as hand held devices. If they had some kind of battery element, they may be useful, but these are idiotic.
