As a swiveling medium bedside table, it's been used
4/5

The table tray is perfectly flat at zero degrees. Despite contradictory claims to the contrary, the tray does not lay flat at zero degrees. I can attest to the fact that it lays flat. If you flip or rotate the mechanism that holds the tray 180o ish degrees to one side, there will be a bolt that prevents it from laying completely flat; however, if you flip it the other way, there will be no bolt, and it will lay completely flat. The swivel arm can be installed either way, so it doesn't matter which side is facing up. It's convenient to have the tray flat because we use it to hold things like remote controls and water cups. I also turned the tray upside down to create a sort of railing on three sides to prevent items from sliding off. I simply threw everything away because we don't need the cable organizers. It's attached to an electric bed, similar to what you'd find in a hospital. I was able to get it to fit on the part of the frame that moves up and down but does not tilt, and it works as a TV tray, but only just. It would be ideal if the mounting pole could be raised another 3" inches; as it is, there isn't quite enough room to swivel over the bed without colliding with someone's legs. Still good, just on the side, and I tied the pole to the frame to keep it from tipping over or sliding off, and it swivels just out of the way when tilted up to avoid being hit by the bed rails. Because the tray has no locking mechanism, you can't put anything too heavy on it. br>br>The unit is solid, well-made, and a little heavy. It has a nice powder black paint finish. Except for a Phillips head screwdriver to secure the tray to the arm bracket, it comes with everything you'll need to put it together. All of the parts are securely fastened, and the swivel arm has never slid down on me.

The end result is pleasing to the eye and extremely durable
5/5

The construction is very sturdy, and the design is adaptable to a variety of uses. In my case, I needed a place for my laptop on my exercise bike, so I bolted the bottom bracket of the stand to the steel frame of my bike. It was a bit of work, but my use case is unusual, so it's not a flaw in the product. The end result looks good and is very sturdy.

Just a mediocre product
3/5

The entire mount package is heavy and solid, but there were scoffs when I first took it out of the box. The material used does not feel as high-end as Ergotron's, but I believe it is adequate for the price. br>br>The only flaw I have is the wobbly VESA to laptop tray mount. It won't lock no matter how hard I turn the nut. As a result, the rating of three stars is justified. br>br>Edited on July 9, 2017: This product receives a one-star rating from me. a rating of five stars The nut will not fix itself in no matter how hard I try to tighten it, so the wobbling is unavoidable. It's also difficult to tighten because the nut is so close to the laptop mount/plate. In the process, I inadvertently sneezed on the mount. VERY INCONVENIENT AND ANNOYING.

It's built to last! It saves a lot of room
5/5

I'm glad I ordered this stand because I used to have a long desk (approximately 6 feet) that was a pain to work at. With this stand, I was able to work at a four-foot desk without sacrificing any work space. It adds a lot of space to my office. br>br>The construction is excellent. Very strong and durable. It easily adjusts forward and backward, side to side, and up and down, and it doesn't bounce, so I wouldn't worry about using it as a stand-up workstation! br>br>Many different mounting options are available, as well as the option of using a computer tray or a monitor configuration. The possibilities are limitless, as is the location of the installation. In the end, I was blown away by the unit's quality and heft, as well as the price.

With the exception of one vexing flaw, it's fantastic
3/5

The laptop is not on a flat surface. On each side of my desk, I purchased two of these, one for work and the other for personal use. The arm that the laptop plate is attached to dips slightly from the base pole on both of these, but just enough that one end of the top of the laptop is more than 1/4" different from the other, indicating that the laptop is tilted (not level). The base is level, as far as I can tell; it's the arm that isn't. These aren't big laptops, and even when they're turned off, the arm is tilted if you put a level on it. br>br>I'm not sure why no one else is bothered by this, or if it's just me and nobody else unless I'm doing something wrong, but the assembly isn't particularly interesting. I reached out to support, expecting to hear back (they list their average turnaround times and 93% are within 3 hours, I guess I am one of the 7% and will have to It's possible that it's too late to return them. br>br>In the meantime, I sawed two pieces of a paint stir stick (cardboard didn't work, it just flattened when tightened), put the extra felt sticky circle from another piece to not scratch the desk and put it on underneath the clamp on the half closest to the laptop, it worked as far as straightening out, but it isn't completely stable and can move slightly when adjusting the arms because it isn't flat over the surface of the desk. A full-size tapered piece could be an alternative, but how am I supposed to design one with my 3D printer? br>br>I don't think I should have to go through all of this just to have a functioning laptop. Perhaps there is a way to adjust, but I am not seeing it and am waiting for support to respond. br>br>If this sounds like something that would irritate you, you should probably look for something else. Aside from that, it's fantastic, but this bugged me so badly that I had to pause and devise a workaround.
