Questions & Answers

Is this stand compatible with the Sony Vaio vpccw23fx laptop?

Yes.

Is it possible to move this freely up and down for sit/stand or to get it out of the way?

Hi there! Yes, it is free to move up and down. You should first adjust the mount to your preferred sitting position. After that, you can move the entire screen to the left or right, as well as up and down. I have it, and I adore it! I hope you find this information useful.

Make a fresh start ?

They do, in fact, include a tray.

What is the best way to mount a steel stud in a wall?

If you have a lot of steel studs, You might be able to screw right into them if your gauge is large enough. Outside of a commercial property, this is highly unlikely. Alternatively, you can use toggle bolts to directly attach it to the sheetrock or toggle bolts through the steel studs, but the center mount holes must be attached to the steel stud if you go this route. Toggle bolts in the sheetrock could be used for the wing ones. br>It's best if: Install a 2x8 backer board between two metal studs, either inside the stud cavity or on top of the sheetrock, with four screws on each side to secure the 2x8 to the steel stud.

Unit is in good shape
3/5

Unfortunately, the customer service is bad. It's a choice between being honest and being decent. This is what I'm going to use for a 15. Laptop with a screen of 6 inches Here are some ideas for you. Provide a hole-drilling template. br>br> br>br>Instructions should state that the bracket on the upper arm should be removed first, then the two smaller screws for running wires through the arm should be unscrewed. br>br>The rubber stoppers at the bottom of the laptop mount should be longer, or longer ones should be provided. The thickness of all laptops varies. My laptop is perched just above the rubber stopper grommet, which, to be honest, frightens me a little. br>br>The laptop mount instructions do not specify that the screw should be inserted into the vesa mount to prevent it from turning. This is something that should be added to the instructions. Finally, to prevent the vesa mount knuckle from dropping downward and causing a laptop to flip out of the base, a mechanical locking mechanism should be installed. Right now, everything is predicated on the knuckle being tight enough, but I believe that will wear down over time and tension will loosen. br>br>A few weeks ago, I contacted Fleximount customer service with a few questions, but no one ever responded.

It broke less than a day after installation, completely destroying a $1800 laptop
3/5

This held a 17" laptop for about 20 hours before snapping, and the laptop plate now moves freely with no tension, making it a $70 wall ornament. br>This $70 gadget cost me $1790 plus tax and shipping for a laptop that shattered when the tray tipped and the plastic clips let go, causing the laptop to fall four feet, shattering the screen and scattering keys all over the floor. br>The ONE 5mm allen key screw that appears to support the entire weight of the laptop where it mounts is still there, but no matter how loose or tight you tighten it, it just flops around.

Mounted in a campervan, it's functional but requires some DIY
5/5

I thought it would be fine to put it up in one of the custom Sprinter camper vans I had built. As a result, installing the module has had a few custom adjustments, such as having the laptop's faceplate removed, which is not exactly aesthetically pleasing. poorbr>br>I decided to do a DIY setup and it turned out much better. I recommend mounting your laptop directly to the faceplate, going to the hardware store, drilling a few holes, and getting your own nuts and bolts.

I find it to be effective
4/5

My Toshiba laptop has the following dimensions: The dimensions are 25"W x 10"H. 25 is the length of the keyboard section, and the length of the keyboard section is approximately. Thickness of 75" I came across the Fleximounts M10 Laptop Wall Mount with 2 in 1 LCD Arm for 11-inch laptops. Laptops with a screen size of 3 inches are simple to install. It securely holds my laptop for my needs, and it's simple to remove and replace the laptop on the mount. I have a recliner next to my bed, between the bed and a wall, and because the mount swivels and moves up and down, it is simple to push out of the way when getting out of the recliner, and simple to reposition when I return to the recliner. When I want to sit in bed and use the laptop, I simply detach it with a flick of a latch on one of the holding brackets underneath the laptop. When I get back into my recliner, it's just as simple to reinstall it on the mount. br>The only thing I wish was that the arm was three times as long. I gave it four stars instead of five because it was four inches longer.

For the price, it's a steal!! (With the exception of one [repairable] flaw)
4/5

To save space in my practice booth, I bought this. This mount is exceptional in every way! a strong heavy arm In every way, the articulation is perfect. Which way should I go? My only criticism is that if you plan to type on it, it has a lot of bounce, which is exacerbated by the mouse clicks. HOWEVER! The source of the bounce has been discovered, and it is not the arm. The laptop tray is the source of the problem. The trey naturally flexes from the bent joint (which I've circled in red) due to its design. As a test, I placed an object as support (also in the picture) and it reduced the bounce by way more than 50%! I'll most likely cut a piece of wood to size and use it as a support; the best part is that you can leave it in there! br>br>Don't be hesitant - You will not be disappointed if you purchase it. Unless you want to spend $200 on them, in which case I'm confident you'll still get bounce.

It's a tad shorter than the specifications call for
5/5

However, as you can see in the picture, the product is quite nice. I can get about 21" of extension from it at the most. It's 1. The spec has a 4" shine. However, the product is well-made and perfectly serves my purpose!.

Great Space Saver with Ergonomics - I bought one of these to get my laptop off my not-so-stellar desk, and the customer service was excellent
5/5

large desk, which allows me to fit my desktop computer, phone, and any papers I'm working on more comfortably. It also elevates the laptop to a more ergonomic position, allowing me to stand it up if necessary. The plate that holds the laptop has a little bounce to it, but it's easy to get used to, and the arm itself is very solid. Although the instructions aren't the best, it's still simple to put together. I broke one small plastic piece while putting it together, but that was my fault, and when I contacted the company, they promptly sent me a replacement part at no charge; this product, and the company that sells it, are both winners!.

It is very simple to set up
4/5

It is very simple to set up. It does a good job of going through the motions. There is a lot of bounce when typing on the laptop, which is why it is only a 4 star instead of a 5. I have to lean it against the front of my body to keep it from wriggling too much. The gator arm is much stronger and has more motion, but this one is less than half the price. It's good for some typing, but if you do a lot of typing, I'd recommend getting one that's a little stronger.
