This product has a fatal design flaw despite its great build quality
3/5

My first comment will be that the actual tray is of excellent build quality. Suitable for the vast majority of laptop models, made by strong metal and powder coated for extra durability. As we discussed previously, the same level of build quality does not extend to the extending arms, as they are one of the most essential parts of the tray. There is no mechanism, which stops the arms from rotating, sliding right and left, or rotating so the lip at the end points downward if one of the plastic knobs fails, causing your laptop to fall out of the clamp with The two plastic knobs and the two flimsy arms aren't sturdy enough to hold a laptop even if it's exceptionally heavy. There is no reason at all for a laptop tray to allow the arms to free rotate left and right or around their long axis, as there is no situation that may call for any of those functions and it would cause a catastrophe every time. Rather than having just one, a smarter system would have two tightening knobs on each side to allow the arms to slide in and out without moving from side to side. This would eliminate one failure point and more importantly, provide two points of failure It would be helpful if the arms had a stopper at the end nearest the Vesa plate itself so that they would not slide all the way out of the clamp, even if completely loosened and extended. In that way, in the event of a total clamp failure, your laptop would only slide as far down as the reach of the arms, rather than out completely. In addition to a lip or retention system along the sides of the tray, it should also be secured. I know there are people who would be more than happy to trust this design, and I have no doubt that many have doing so safely, but I don't have the risk appetite to put $1,000 on the line for It was impossible to justify its continued use after just a few days of use.

Securely holds laptop in place and is easy to install
5/5

It's my first time using a monitor arm for a laptop stand, and I'm absolutely in love with The laptop is very portable and I can move it in any direction I want. For all remote meetings we have been having, I have been able to position the camera on the laptop at the precise height and angle that creates a decent frame (avoid clutter in the background or promote angles that prevent glare from my glasses) or just simply make me look thinner. The rubberized prongs at the front of the device are The laptop should be protected by caps to prevent it from sliding forward or getting scratched. As well as two rubber pads to prevent the computer from sliding in its case when it is moved, the laptop has two rubber feet. A laptop can be adjusted to ensure it is level thanks to its adjustable angle As well as ensuring that the video frame looks level if you use the camera on the laptop at an angle. The handle could even be mounted manually using velcro fasteners on the bottom of the tray, thus hiding the hard drive and making it easy for me to plug the USB connection into my laptop when I need to access it. I found this to be a great purchase with exceptional You can help this review by giving it a HELPFUL vote, if you liked it. Exactly what you need for a large and heavy laptop! The AmazonBasics notebook mount tray initially sounded doubtful that it could possibly be the best laptop tray for a gigantic laptop like the Alienware 17 r4, but by trial and error I found it to be worthy
5/5

It seems that the AmazonBasics tray is secretly identical to the Ergotron 50-inch tray at the time of writing It is 193. This is a notebook tray model 200. The arm is built at an equivalent level of quality to that of the Ergotron LX arm, but I do not have any proof of this other than product descriptions and pictures. I'll go back to the tray now. It was important to get a tray that had adequate cooling/airflow space, since I wanted to mount the 17r4 on a laptop arm. The first thing I thought when I saw the Mount- There is no doubt that the VESA Laptop Mount Tray ( would be a good idea since it seems like it would offer better The idea is not a good one (read my review there for more details). A SOLID material is used to construct the AmazonBasics tray. Sheet steel is used for the tray because of its relatively thick construction and strong screw holes (some of which extend through the thickness of the sheet metal). Compared to other front draughts, these are made entirely out of aluminum and have rubber end caps. Furthermore, the arm clamps underneath have an impressive Along with the tray, a number of useful accessories were included I also used thumbscrews
* Various screws (including thumbscrews, which I used)
* Three sets of 'retainer' hooks for the laptop's back. In the case of the alienware 17 r4, they don't do a whole lot, but I think if you make the computers thinner, you could use them to provide some added 3 strips of 3M adhesive velcro (as a dock to attach a removable laptop). This allowed me to attach a ruler to the back end of the laptop in order to hold it in place while I work. A solution to the airflow problem has been found. A laptop with a bottom, such as a MacBook or similar). * 2 loop hooks (not shown). After you have attached it to an arm, it allows you to manage cables effectively. Moreover, this laptop tray uses a full 75x75 VESA pattern to mount, so it can handle 56 GB hard drives. With a tiny 12 cm*2), the arm is a joke. did not flex, slip or otherwise bother me. (The boxes hanging off the back of the laptop are Opolar LC06 laptop coolers ( in case you were The lights are usually at about 6 degrees C), and yes, they can be a noisy thing )* So yeah, if you want to support one of them, then probably this way It shouldn't be- It is arm-length I agree, but As a result- What I desire However, if you have a laptop, you will want this tray With the aluminum arms that extend, this stand would also be suitable for any reasonable sized machine too. In my opinion, a Predator 21 X would not be a good choice.

This is a perfect combo for a laptop and monitor on your dual arm mount
5/5

This laptop mount might have looked more effective paired with a real office environment if there had been more action shots. Since I would only be using one new monitor on my Amazon Basics dual arm mounting system, I took a chance. My jaw dropped when I saw this. The fact that I can adjust the height of my screens so that I am not hunching over is wonderful to me. This is a great opportunity! I'm thrilled with the new desk space I now have. I would also like to mention that this little laptop tray can also accommodate docking stations as well as laptops. This is just the way they are. The benefit will not be a necessity for me, but if it were, it would be an added bonus.
