It's becoming increasingly difficult to obtain these cards. br>br>After being added to the media roster for a major sporting event at the eleventh hour, I decided to bring out my trusty, familiar, old Sony Alpha a100 DSLR and the beautiful old glass in the APO Telephoto from my wet film days. Now I tested these cards as well, and while they appeared to work despite the error message, the audible beep was annoying. I hope this is of assistance to anyone who is having trouble with this. I can't believe Sony's customer service hasn't addressed this peculiar issue.
This memory card format is/is approaching obsolescence, and my local camera store did not have any in stock. It worked flawlessly in my wife's old camera, and she now has a backup. It prevented me from purchasing a new camera (at least for the time being!).
At first glance, everything appears to be in order, but after a week, I began to notice flaws, such as the fact that transferring a 500MB file containing ten items took an hour. in comparison to the other four memory cards I have. And I'm stuck transferring it for the majority of the time. It has a lot of lag. The responsiveness is extremely irritating, as it is slow and occasionally hangs. It is preferable to purchase San Disk from a store for $30. This is an enormous error. This was purchased as a back-up for the MS Pro-Plus version. My Sony DSLR camera, which is now nearly nine years old, came with a duo stick. The original memory card still works, but it gets stuck now and then - causing me anxiety Because the new one is faster and more reliable, the old one has been relegated to backup status! It was a wise decision.

I'm not in the market for a new camera. Everything is in order. I was having trouble finding this older format memory card and was worried that I'd have to upgrade a camera that I really like, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this one. That camera I adore has a few more years in it, in my opinion.
