This item, while having a good concept, made it difficult to type with. I'm sure it will work for others, but it fell short of my expectations.
Although the edges of the cover appear to lift too easily, it appears to be a very sturdy cover. However, I'm looking for a replacement because it's extremely difficult to type on. If you don't type much on your Mac, this might come in handy.
I wish it was as thin as the previous one, but in comparison to the silicone covers I've tried from other companies, it's still quite thin. It was simple to clean and dried quickly. It fits my keyboard perfectly, with no slipping, lifting, or other issues. It does make the keyboard a little quieter and stiffer, but that's fine with me because I don't like typing on the bare keys because they're too slippery for me. I'm not sure if it's because I've grown accustomed to using a keyboard cover, or if it's just how I feel in general. My previous cover from them lasted several years, and I have high hopes for this one as well.
- AFTER ONE YEAR - br>br>After 13 months of use, I've reduced my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. I've attached two new photos showing how the keyboard cover has begun to lift up rather than sit snugly against the keys as it once did. It doesn't affect usability, but it doesn't look as nice. br>br>I know Apple has issued a statement stating that using keyboard covers, no matter how thin, can result in cracked screens. I can't vouch for this because when I shut down my laptop, I remove it and place it on top of it. When I'm working on my laptop, I only use the keyboard cover. This way, I get the cover's protection without having to worry about the possibility of a cracked screen developing over time.
The ghostcover wasn't available at the time, but the Mosiso (sp? ) was. ) was. That product was a disaster - a lot of fat The ghostcover was later made available to the public. On my 15" MacBook Pro, I had a lot of luck with ghostcover. While others were complaining about the feel of the keyboard, I was blissfully unaware of any issues. As a result, I had high hopes for the MBP 16" model. br>br>Unfortunately, the MBP 16" suffers from the same amount of extra travel and deadening as the MBP 15. However, while it improves the overall feel of the MBP 15" keyboard, it has a negative impact on the MBP 16" keyboard. Without the cover, the MBP 16's keyboard feels so much better. It's a bit mushy on the cover. br>br>Despite the fact that keyboard feel is a highly subjective quality, I still give it 5 stars because the product quality is so good.
For a well-known design, there was no adhesive included, and the fit was inconsistent. There is no adhesive included with this protector, as stated in a few other reviews. Fit: br>br>Size: br>br>Size: br>br>Size There's something off about the fit. I can move the cover around a little bit. 5 - With only a little force, 8mm can be achieved. I'd understand if this was for use on a more diverse platform of laptops, but the keycap size on a Macbook does not vary from machine to machine, and I'd gladly pay more for a better fit. But that isn't all. On the sides, it is not cut evenly. The left side (as seen in the images) completely fills the keyboard tray's depression. The RIGHT, on the other hand, only goes halfway up this indented section (as shown in the images). br>br>Once again, this is a laptop where the keycap size and spacing are known and consistent. What's the deal with this? It's a little sloppy. What is the reason for the uneven cutting? $13? It's almost worth it, but I'd gladly pay an extra $2 if I could. If the fit was perfect, the price would be $3. The cut around the ESC key on the protector is abysmal (see images). I'm not sure who set the tolerances for this, but it's so close to missing the keycap's inner right edge. Despite this, the bottom of the Touch Bar is flush with the keyboard protector throughout. br>br>This costs $13, but it fits like it costs $9. Yes, dust and crumbs will be kept out. Mostly. At this time, I am unable to endorse his cover. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative I've made about six typing errors since putting it on, and this is the first thing I've typed since it was put on. Not bad, there will be an adjustment period (seven errors total).
My lovely new MacBook Pro 16" screen has a VERY UNHAPPY plastic keyboard cover pattern imprinted on it. obstructing my view and hiding everything I'm trying to see The computer's display serves as its focal point. I'm a photographer who uses it to edit and view my photographs.
br>br>It also lifts frequently, and the manufacturer's solution is to place stickers in the parts of the cover that lift the most frequently. This works to some extent, but it gives the impression that the laptop has broken and has been bandaged up. br>br>However, the cover is very easy to remove (too easy, in fact, because it comes off by itself every now and then) and very easy to clean. However, I only clean my keyboard covers once every few weeks or so, so it's never a big deal to me. Also, I've never had a difficult-to-clean keyboard cover, so I'm not sure why that's one of the review's rating criteria.
