As a cover, it's fine, but the letters fade over time, as does the color
3/5

To be honest, there isn't much to say about this type of product; it covers my keyboard adequately and is comfortable to type on once you get used to it (typing without it is a little different, and it is definitely quieter). It appears to be relatively simple to clean, particularly given how easily it can be removed. In some places, especially on the bottom row, the markings on the keyboard cover do not match the markings on the keys, which could be an issue if you are extremely picky, but I don't mind. If you like to type in the dark, you may notice that the backlighting of the keyboard is obscured, but this isn't an issue for me because I rarely work late. br>br>The only issue I've had with it so far is that I've only had it for two days, and certain keys are already showing signs of wear (see attached photo, and look at the E and the I (capital i, not lowercase L)). H and R, as well as A and S, are showing signs of wear, though not to the same extent as H and R. I got it Monday night, used it all day Tuesday and Wednesday, and it's now Thursday morning, so that's a lot of wear for such a short period of time in my opinion. I'm worried about how long it'll be before the letters start to deteriorate. Maybe it'll only be a blip on the radar. I won't know until I use it more, so I'll update it later if necessary. br>br>Also, it has a tendency to "pop up"/wrinkle a little bit from time to time, but this is purely an aesthetic issue for me and has no bearing on my typing ability. Regardless, it's attractive, and I enjoy working with it. I also like that it's inexpensive, so if I want to replace it or change the colors I'm using, I can do so for less than ten dollars. br>br>Edited to add that the capital i key had completely worn off by the end of the day I wrote this (the third day of use). It doesn't have any raised letters, so I can't tell if it's an i. Of course, I'm aware of where the keys are on the keyboard, but I'm disappointed that the letters faded so quickly. br>br>DATE CHANGE: January 23, 2021: So far, I've only had it for about two months. I type a lot at work, and I'm also working on another graduate degree, so I type a lot for that. Not only have the letters I use frequently worn off completely (I basically have Q, W, Z, X, and J that look pretty good still, M and K are alright, F, G, and P look like they've seen better days, and all the others are gone), but the color design on the letters I use more frequently than others (E, A, and S in particular) is starting to wear off completely. For instance, the color in the middle of my E key has a clear hole in it, so light passes through it when I lift it off the keyboard and hold it up to a window. br>br>I think all I really need is a clear cover with a design, so that's what I'm going to order. Thankfully, this didn't come at a high price, but I had to dock a star because, despite only being in use for a month and a half, this thing appears to be in poor condition.

It's a great cover, but it gets worn out quickly with frequent use
4/5

I've had this cover for a few months now, and the letters I type on a regular basis quickly wore it down. I believe this is due in part to the fact that I have longer nails, despite the fact that my nails are average for a female. The color scheme and letters/symbols are conveyed by a thin layer on the cover. Without it, the cover is just a plain white silicone-based cover. In the areas where I use it the most, it's wearing down much faster than I expected. Apart from that, the cover adheres well to the keyboard, is soft to the touch, and does not slow down my typing speed. Only recommend if you're willing to replace it on a regular basis (every three months or so for frequent laptop users).

Love it
5/5

I've had my eye on this cover for a long time because it's so lovely, but my other computer already had one, and I didn't want to waste money, so I waited until I got a new MacBook to purchase it. It is not to be missed! br>br> Because they're both silicone, I expected it to be similar to my other keyboard cover (which I loved), but I actually prefer it! I'm not sure what to call it, but it feels less rubbery? It has a unique texture when you touch it, which could be due to the top coat or the print component. It's not as soft as the silicone keyboard covers I'm used to, so it's possible that it won't appeal to everyone. I, on the other hand, am completely enamored with it. Also, because it's less soft, it appears to be less flexible, so I'm hoping it won't warp as quickly as the previous one. Crossing my fingers!.

A2179 will love it
5/5

This is exactly what I needed for my Mac A2179. The texture is extremely soft, almost velvety, and the thickness is excellent! It's just the right thickness and thickness, not too thin or flimsy. The colors are much more vibrant in person than they appear online (see photos with and without flash to see the difference). I'm very pleased with my purchase; I was looking for something cute to go with my rose gold Mac, and this fits the bill perfectly.

What you pay for is exactly what you get
3/5

So it's cute, and it sticks to the keys well (except for a few ripples on the fn key, which you can see in the photo). br>br>It just doesn't line up with the bottom row! The light does not line up with the text, as you can see in the photos. It also lines up in other places, so it's clearly a typo. br>br>The fabric is also thin and appears to rip easily, but I don't mind. It's also so thin that the indents don't quite fit between the keys, instead resting mostly on top, almost as if the mold was too flat. This is depicted in the image as well. Obviously, the misprint bothers me, but it was cheap, so expectations must be managed. br>br>I think it's fine. I was willing to pay a little more to ensure that I got a higher-quality silicone and that the keys matched, but that didn't appear to be an option. What you pay for is exactly what you get.

It was a wise decision
5/5

This purchase has made me extremely happy. It's practical, and it's easy to type on. I had to do some in-depth research before I could move forward. Because I spilled a breakfast smoothie/shake on my keyboard, I had to give it a thorough cleaning, and as a result, some of the keys don't stay in place very well; however, the keyboard cover keeps them perfectly in place. I really like how it looks with my MacBook Air in terms of aesthetics. The pinks, blues, and purples The purple of the keyboard cover contrasts beautifully with my Mac's rose gold finish.

The letters quickly faded
3/5

The printed-out version The lettering on the keys wore off after the first week (at least on the most frequently used keys), but the background graphic remained, so you can't tell what the key is anymore. If you type by touch, it's not a big deal, but if you type by hunt-and-peck, it's a big deal. and-peck- You'd be out of luck, to put it that way. However, it fits well and is otherwise in good condition.

It gets the job done
4/5

The package arrived in the form of a flat envelope. After a month, it began to peal with the letter D. Because I have a wireless laptop keyboard, I rarely use it. However, this is what happens when I use my laptop's keyboard. br>It's definitely keeping all of the dog hair off of the keyboard, so I'm pleased with it and would purchase it again.
