After connecting for about five minutes, the screen went dark. After trying the same thing on another port on my GTX 1080, I couldn't get the issue resolved. As a result, I messed it up by trying it three times at the same time on the third port. In that instant, I realized what had happened; My $500 graphics card was fried up by this cheap cable. Lesson learned, I will never buy a cable like that again from Amazon. It is anyone's right to sell on this site, and it is vendors that are accountable. With all the expenses for a non-working credit card I was prepared to rack up 8 bucks. A small problem. As a result, I ended up paying over $500 for it. The very best way to avoid a lawsuit is to shop at a reputable website.
I have been using it for about six weeks now and it has worked great on both the DP and VGA modules as well as on the Standard DP and VGA Male modules. While I just bought a new card that did not have VGA out, I couldn't upgrade the DVI output. This means I have both HDMI and DisplayPort outputs on my desktop, but my KVM switch only has VGA. It seems to offer me the best value for money. This program never detects any type of glitch in the pictures as well as reports any errors.
The VGA to Display Port connection works, but once it is connected to a monitor with the display port, the display will not be connected to a PC. In one of my monitors, there is only one VGA connector that fits, and on the other monitor, it stands too high at the back of the monitor. In both cases the screws barely reached the connector to secure it from the cable going to the display. After thinking that the cable would need to be returned, I ended up taking the cable out. Now that it's working properly i have been quite pleased, but may need a cable with a smaller connector in the future.
There is no problem with the cable, and the quality of it is satisfactory. However, there is one problem. Its VGA part alone is really quite large. In fact, I think it is about twice as long as OEM Dell cables. We need to know what our size is by checking out the picture I've attached. It wouldn't be an issue if there were no splitter present at my computer, however with the exception of my mount soundbar, this port makes it impossible. Note that I have to return mine. If you don't need one with mounting capability, this will be a much better deal.
Look sharp. In one case, one works perfectly, but in another case, one works intermittently. They were purchased twice. One of them worked OK but the other had occasional problems converting from monitor to cable. (Other than complaining in a review, no one else takes action about it) I'm too lazy to deal with the issue. After replacing the old VGA to VGA cable with that one, the monitor now outputs VGA and it now features a VGA channel. I didn't even realize the need to replace the one at first. Would like if only they worked at their core.
The package arrived two days after ordering. I got it and things were perfect, it arrived in two days and is worth eight bucks, well, what a deal that is. A screwdriver is silicone, so that can cause thumbing it in to cause even more pain, however the body of the connect does cause strain upon the thumb. It is otherwise perfect, but not perfect.
