When compared to older cables, this one works really well The displayport / USB 3 interfaces are the latest technology

The cable has one strand. In this cable, an older cable is replaced with a much better cable. A Macbook Pro with two external monitors is what I use. A common problem with the older cable was the Mac would flash its screens when waking from sleep. Some times, I had to disconnect all my screens and experiment in order to get things to work. Even though the older cable had a display port lock, the screen with the older cable would flash occasionally, or the cable would lose connection at the monitor end. In spite of the fact that it does not have a display port lock, the new cable works flawlessly and never loses connection. Perhaps a better quality connector does not need to be locked in place It seems that the cable is in great shape- I made it.
