I have never seen a cable like that! I have found that this cable has been better in terms of quality and durability than my original Samsung cable. For the purpose of connecting a MacBook Pro to a docking station, I purchased this cable. Despite the docking station being provided with an extra cable, it was too short for my usage. There are Thunderbolt 3 ports on the opposite side of this cable, so you can use that. I have been waiting for that long. It seemed to be working fine for the first two minutes, but after two minutes, it stopped working. The charging function on my MacBook Pro (13" 2018) has decided to stop working after 5 months. In system settings, I see that the cable is not charging, but when I swap it out for another thunderbolt 3 cable it starts charging. The cable has a good looking dark braided design, but for only 3 months of use, it is not worth the cost. You may want to choose a brand other than your current one.
