Questions & Answers

The charger has an 87W power output, can I use it to charge a Macbook Pro?

The answer is yes That is exactly why I purchased it and it has served me well ever since.

Can you tell me what kind of certification this cable has?

I apologize for the delay in my reply. I first want you to take note that I don't start my answer with "Haha, I do not know". It appears Thunderbolt certification requires Intel's licensed/approve technology at 40 Gbps, as you can find in an internet search for this technology. This product is no longer available from Cable Matters, but there is still a certified 40 Gbps product from Thunderbolt (sold for less on Amazon). "This product by Pluggable claims to be certified, but may only be 'compatible' with each other. The best advice I can give is to go with Cable Matters and you will get what you expect from this product. By the way, 40GPS is a really fast connection, and you will need a device and computer capable of handling There's a Hewlett Packard HP Z1 G3 24" all-in-one computer I happen to own Two Thunderbolt 3/USB 3 ports are combined into an "all-in-one" that delivers speed and convenience. A computer without a port like this will not be able to utilize the full benefits of the Cable Matters product. And, by the way, I am not in need of this speed right now, but I wanted to be able to make use of this product for the foreseeable future. I wish you the best of

Selected User Reviews For Plugable Thunderbolt 3 Cable 40Gbps Supports 60W (20V, 3A) Charging, 1.6ft / 0.5m USB C Compatible [Thunderbolt 3 Certified]

With Thunderbolt 3, you get a 20Gbps USB-C connection Sixth Cable C '/2m, 3A/60W) appears to conform with the USB Type-A standard A specification of the C type

This is something I recommend. Nathan K, a volunteer for the Google Top Contributor (Nexus/Pixel Support Forums), is a follower of Benson Leung who does independent USB-related work Testing and verification of C code. Plugable has provided a Thunderbolt 3 20Gbps USB-type device Sixth Cable C 3A/60W)" [Model TBT3- 6'/2m The 20G2M Initiative]. This USB Type-A PASSIVE eMarked cable is not powered off or off connected to the computer Intended use of version 1 of the C standard. Given the constraints of a 2m length, it has some rather favorable performance characteristics, as well. I believe that active cable designs at this time (Dec 2016) are essentially flawed, so this is a good USB3 solution for "long distance" use. 1 Gen 1 (5 gbps) data with Thunderbolt 3 We are working on a 20gbps data cable and a charge cable (3A/60W) in the meantime. "

THE As stated in the advertisement, the cable supports USB 3. With this cable, you get good performance characteristics and 1Gen1 support built out of Lintes ODM cable stocks. The cable passes all SI, DCR, continuity, and eMarker tests using a Level 2 TotalPhase Advanced Cable Tester. This system can run at 120% capacity (6GHz) and still pass the SI test. Although technically, the DC resistance is low enough that this cable can be classified as being 5A/100W. marked as 3A for safety, as it should be. of the front teeth. 1) THE MEDIACREAT There is a pin on each connector that has a unique pin number Resistances of the pins that are too high A 15mOhm resistor). Apparently, this issue is a feature of other Lintes ODM cables from Belkin, therefore I presume it is a "normal" occurrence. A comparison between the j5Create JUCX01 and Anker A8181011 reveals that they have negligible power consumption Resistivity of pins (less than 5mOhm). As the paddlecards are well within spec (40mOhm), it indicates that they could be optimized further. IFCULATION OF THE FILE There are two USB3 ports, 1 Gen 2 (USB2 and 10Gbps). appears in the technical A claim is made that the product is certified, but does not state WHO certified it. From the information I have, I know it is "Intel Thunderbolt Certified," but the label is still a little deceiving. The manufacturer is doubly USB-compatible when there are other manufacturers with similar devices The IF is certified as well as Intel. It also is a little exorbitantly priced compared to the competition. (However, as I have stated before, I have been in the dark and have done so in the past My money is being spent on in-depth troubleshooting with Plugable's engineers, so at least I know where it's going. I hope so. are, however, minor grievances. Having purchased this product, I am pleased to find it to be "exactly as described on the tin", and of good quality too. In other words, it gets a good IN CONCLUSION, I would like to conclude as follows In my view, this is a well-built cable that delivers exactly what is said it will with very healthy Because of this, I highly recommend it to anyone with a need for a 2m Thunderbolt 3 The cable is 20Gbps, and the USB3 connector is 3. An 1Gen1 5Gbps cable or a 60W charging cable might be a good option. My own custom-made testing method was used in conjunction with a TotalPhase Advanced Cable Tester Level 2 and Plugable/Google Twinkie in combination with a TotalPhase Advanced Cable Tester Level 2 Microcontrollers and equipment made by the company. Additionally, by using Plus, additional data can be verified.

It's useful for charging your USB-PD phone and transferring data from your phone to your PC, but not so great for data transferring
4/5

The following updates have been made as of The Plugable customer support staff has been prompt, courteous, understanding, and thorough in replying to my inquiry. The technician believes that the length of the cable and the fact that it is thunderbolt 3 may have constrained the power output to two phones connected together, so I was experiencing drop-outs between a Pixel 2 XL and a Samsung Galaxy S10+. when I connect my phone to my PC via USB, it will not work This is the third of three steps. Data transfer to the PC and between the PC and the port worked as expected, keeping a stable connection. A refund was considered by their customer service, but I politely refused despite the fact that the cable did not appear to be defective since the PC and charging functioned as designed, and I would feel guilty about receiving a refund for this situation. My offer was to get a different cable to complement this one to cover this remaining use case, and I gladly accepted it. Upon completion of review, I will update it. I have been able to restore some stars to the review due to this pleasant exchange. The original review was as follows I am able to keep my connection to my USB-based device My $9 USB 3. 0 charger that I bought 1 year ago is not as good as my PD charger. The cable is 1 m long. After hearing many good things from people in the know, I decided to buy this cable, which replaced my old $9 USB 3. 0 cable. The Grade of Ca- There was a flaw in the C cable that made it very easy to disconnect power and data unless the cable was positioned perfectly. This was unfortunately not a very rosy situation. Yesterday I wanted to use this USB 3. 0 cable to help my parents transfer data from their old phone (Google Pixel XL) to their new phone (Google Pixel 3 XL) a lot quicker than using the USB 2. 0 cable that is included with their phones. The cable has a 0 volt output. There was always an issue around the 60% mark, and the transfer would My new phone was reset over and over again, trying to start all over again. In the same vein. In order to overcome this obstacle, what did I do? My old $9 USB 2. 0 fell out of the desk drawer, so I grabbed it and took a look at it. The Grade of Ca- I pulled out a C cable from my trash can and tried it. Immediately following the transfer, the transfer went smoothly. Besides being a USB 3, that $9 cable had a 2 metre length as well. The cable is 1 m long. The Plugable cable may have something wrong, which leads me to believe that it is the As of now, I am thoroughly disappointed, as I bought this expensive cable specifically for peace of mind, as I didn't want to buy another $9 cable and have it fail again within a year. Unfortunately in this instance, it is already too late In spite of the flaky $9 cable, the task got done and the day was saved. I am disappointed.

I have the perfect cable
5/5

Is what is said to be. It is what it is. The GPU I purchased was specifically intended to work with my eGPU There was a tad bit too much distance between the Razer Core X and the cable that came with it. This was a good compromise for the price. The cable does what it says it will do. The first thing you'll notice is that it's 40 gbps. The second is that it does charge at 100 watts. I was surprised because the cable that came with the Razer Core X was supposed to charge my laptop to full capacity, yet it was complaining that it was not doing so. I was able to remove the message after connecting this cable. I would have bought the item if only for that reason. Then, before testing my eGPU with 3dmark, I decided to think some more about it. It was a slight improvement over the benchmarks. I was surprised once again at this point. I was not even able to run the Ray Tracing test before this cable was installed. Each time I tried, it would crash. As a result of using this cable, the ray tracer test ran just fine. The cable Razer provided was so bad that I am not sure why it was included. Although I don't have a crazy tester like other reviewers, I hope this helps anyone who is unsure whether to buy the A word about the cables this one is thunderbolt certified. The following information can be found on the Thunderbolt website.

My specifications are as follows This Dell Precision 5540 system comes with the Razer Core X and a RTX 2060 Ultra graphics card.
