Questions & Answers

In comparison with the 1, the data rate will be slower with the 3 foot cable. In the descriptions, I noticed that the speeds change when picking between one or the other?

Any Thunderbolt 3 cable with a 1.25-inch plug will work. Cables with a length of 6 feet or less are 40 Gbps. The case with longer cables is not always the same. The cable of a Thunderbolt 3 device must be more than one foot in length. receive 20 Mbps until they are what is known as an "active cable", in which case they would also receive 40 Mbps, and additionally, they could ONLY be used with Thunderbolt 3 devices (because an active cable is only capable of handling 40 Mbps).

The 6 can do it A USB 3.0 cable of 6 feet can be used as a solution for usb 3 problems. The following are the types It is possible to have a maximum length of three in gen 2 only. A distance of 3 feet at a speed of 10 Mbps?

This cable 6 has been verified by me. The cable is 6 feet long and can be used as a With 10Gbps speed, this is the first gen 2.

The Samsung T3 portable hard drive is compatible with this cable, right?

The answer is yes! Because of that I bought it, to use it with a T3 port on a Thinkpad P70, which doesn't have a USB port The third item is It won't be possible for a T3 to run above USB 2 with a USB 0 port. When using this cable on the USB port, it works perfectly The third requirement is C3. There is a Thunderbolt3 port on this computer!

Can you tell me about the cable's warranty?

My knowledge of this topic is limited. There has never been a need to use it for me. I am pleased with the performance of the cable.

There is a 100W stamp on the cable

Cable Matters continues to provide great prices and quality (as usual)
5/5

It doesn't seem like I can go more than a year without buying products from Cable Matters. Having discovered the brand a year or so ago, every cable I have purchased from them is of the highest The results are often better than those of OEMs. The following note applies Using this cable, you can only get 20 Gbps of speed. This cable allows you to connect to your Oculus Rift
5/5

With this cable, I was able to use Oculus Link completely. While this cable costs more than the 10 foot USB A to USB C Anker cable that Oculus links to from its website, I wanted a cable that was more reliable and would allow the USB C devices to pair without disruption Cable that would be perhaps somewhat future-proof but would still be of good quality I will prove it. In theory, this cable is capable of 20 Gbps as stated, but more often than not, it will only allow for 5 Gbps when just used from a standard USB port Plugging a PC's USB port into a device (in my case the Oculus Quest) lets you experience virtual reality. achieve the full 20 Gbps speed, it is imperative that you use the USB-based adapter There is a Thunderbolt 3 port available on the Type C port. Most people will know if their computer is Thunderbolt 3 if they are looking at this cable, but there is a full list of compatible computers on the Cable Matters website if you wish to find out. With all of that in mind, this is an impressively powerful USB 3. 0 hub. This cable is the Gen 2 version. I am confident it can handle the stress of being attached to a device that will move a lot. It is thick, which gives me more confidence. The grade I got was six. An extension cable with a length of 6 feet (2 meters) is available. Their longest offering (currently) for this cable is five-plus hundred metres Furthermore, I should point out that the Oculus team recommends a 10 foot cable in order to ensure that users can comfortably engage in standing/roomscale VR experiences. As for the cable, it was for testing during development with Unreal Engine As I sit in front of my PC, I will be doing this My purpose for this cable requires the length that this cable has. As for the cable, it is well built and seems to last a long time. I am happy with this purchase.

NOTE IT DOES NOT SUPPORT DAISY CHAINING like 40Mbps Active Cables do
3/5

This cable would be half the cost of active cables if you were only going to use it for one straight run to one device, however, I was not going to use it for that purpose. I tried setting up a Daisy Chain setup with this, but it wouldn't let any device past the first show up properly. I would encourage you to educate yourself about the differences between thunderbolt and USB standards, as it is a bit of a wild west out there, particularly on Amazon, where cables can appear to be one of the many things that are confusing to those who have not experienced TLDR Here is the TLDR USB Type C cables feature the same basic shape, however depending on how they are wired and/or chipped, they can use a variety of different communication protocols. A USB 1. 0 port is a must-have for every desktop computer. The following values are 0 and 1. It's likely they're just the cheapest items in a gas station since they're all at least USB 2. 0. I have not seen any in the wild, so these are likely to be bottom barrel bargains. Five megabits per second. There are so many wires to connect to that it is really only useful to connect a keyboard or mouse (faster than the older PS2 cable that looks like an s video cable)
USB In order from 1 to Exactly the same as before, but at The USB 2 is part of the USB family. The following values are 0 and 1. This is the standard followed by many cables that come in boxes with phones or computers. 480 Mbps. that this is bits, not bytes (1 bit is 1/8 of a byte), so that indicates a misleading data rate. In fact, Apple cables come with modern MacBooks with data speeds restricted to this rate. It is fast enough to handle an audio interface, but not too many inputs. USB 3 is the next generation of USB. The following values are 0 and 1. It has 3 pins as opposed to usb type A (the rectangular one you're used to) that has 4 pins. In the 0 box, there is blue on the interior of the plug to indicate that it is There is a speed advantage in this standard over 2 The probability of 0 is generally high, and it is probably the most common type At this point, 5 Gbps is enough to allow a USB hub to deal with a large number of inputs and outputs. The USB 3 standard is fast enough for HD streaming, but not for 4K video in real time. Is the first generation of the Internet of Things The two cables can transmit 100 Watts of power (100 watts of power when using USB 3 cables) and have the same data rates USB 0 is backwards compatible with USB 2, but not USB The previous number is 0 and above. Data transfer rate of 5Gbps. USB 3 is the next generation of USB. The first generation of gaming consoles - 1. It is referred to as Superspeed The data throughput of gen2 is twice that of gen1. It has no backward compatibility in terms of cables and is capped at the same amount of power. As a result, 10 Gbps is equivalent to the thunderbolt standard and offers significantly higher performance. You can buy USB 3 type C cables if you buy a type C cable. If you use the Gen 1 or Gen 2 it won't work with a good amount of USB Type C devices, like a Logitech mx mouse, or mass drop alt keyboards as they use the Gen Data and power can be transmitted over a type c cable using the usb 3. 0 standard. * You can find more information here Thunderbolt Using Mini DisplayPort cables, they were able to transmit data at 10Gbps. Thunderbolt cables seem to have been the same, but the hardware on computers or other devices that read data is either Thunderbolt 1 or Thunderbolt 2. This means that you will not be able to find a type C cable that will be Thunderbolt The Thunderbolt 2 - Video game. The minidisplayport connector thunderbolt cable can provide the fastest data transfer rate. While it can't match the current fastest USB connections, at 20 gbps it is still considerably faster. I was disappointed that it does not appear to support daisy chaining on type C, which is a pity because it is quite enough to daisy chain 6 devices at once and play 4k video in real-time. *Thunderbolt 3 passive features Docking cables are these little thingies that come with many docks and such. They use all their little pins to achieve 40gbps data transmission and 100W of power, while remaining as backwards compatible as Despite the fact that USB 2 is supposed to be compatible, they still don't work. Nevertheless, 0 and below are not allowed. A Thunderbolt 3 operating system is available They sacrifice some backward compatibility with some USB standards in order to use more juice to boost the signal and ensure that longer cables can still run at A LG TB3 monitor or an Apple XDR display includes one of these at its longest run, which is 2 meters or about 6 feet. I am 6 feet tall. From $60 to around $100, these seem to start at a reasonable price. Even though Apple includes a very nice one with the XDR monitor, they don't sell it. The Thunderbolt 3 optical interface It is a similar system to the above, however, these use a computer chip and fiber optics to supply low-speed full 40Gbps downline over ridiculously long distances. They also cost $400 and up per kilometer. Aside from all of this, cables can use different standards for power delivery and digital to analog converters if you are talking about a headphone jack to USB Type C connection. It is a given that if you have a complicated run planned, you will need to do your research and still buy and return cables, too, which have certain limitations that you cannot discover through good research. You will do well.

Although the engineering is not quite perfect, Cable Matters is a generally good brand, so I am unwilling to have too many complaints
3/5

I don't think this cable is quite engineered right. I can neither securely attach the device to the connector on my external LaCie drive nor to the one On the cable, there is only a small gap where the connectors come together. I am not sure what the problem is, but something does not seem right. It could be the rubber casing around the connectors, or it could be the length of the teeth on the connectors. As I frequently checked whether connectors fully inserted into devices when I used the cable (as the cable would slip out when either the computer or the drive was moved), I found myself constantly checking. It does appear to be a storage malfunction since I replaced the Anker cable with an identical one that worked perfectly. Additionally, the 6 inch cable that came with the external drive works as well, so there is no problem with the drive or Do not move anything, just let the cable do its job.
