Despite all that, I am at work
4/5

In a nutshell, The unit did not work after I simply plugged it in. There is nothing wrong with either my graphics card or monitor so I don't know why this happens. I figured I would keep it for another three years since this is the second one I've bought in three In my case, I tried both display ports on my MSi GT72 Dominator Pro and neither worked. I also tested my mini dp to dvi converter in both ports on my laptop, and it works fine. As soon as I buy another cord (brand) and plug it in I have a pretty good idea if it's a defective cable. There is no reason for them not to allow us to Update

As a result of my mistake, I had to retract my review. Anyway, yeah, it did not work, and after completing a review, I tried to research other options to see if I could bring it to work. A video attached to this message caught my attention. Turned out that the issue was a simple one, and the new cable didn't seem necessary. Nevertheless, I am still unsure as to why the item can not be returned. It was a problem for me, so I do not know if it works for everyone. It turns out that the person in the video used the same monitor as I Here are the steps to fix the Display Port 1. Ensure that the computer is completely off by unplugging it from the power source or turning off the Power Supply through the power button. The second paragraph. Remove the monitor from the power source and turn it off. In addition, unplug the monitor from the wall outlet. 1. 2. 3. Take 30 seconds to wait. Ibid. , p. 4. Make sure the monitor is on by plugging it back in and turning it on if it doesn't automatically start. This is 5. Turn the power back on by plugging in the computer, or rotating the PSU switch. Six points. The Display Port will now work if the fix applies. When the PC is turned on again, the fix will take effect. A fix like this seems to be so difficult -- until you see firsthand how easy it is.

Pins that have been melted
3/5

It's time to give it to their customer service. I will do that. Their customer service is very responsive and informed me that the product comes with a Replacing the damaged part has been done. Although I still feel uneasy about the quality of the video, the original review still stands. We will keep the spare in our spares box. The review was updated to 3 stars instead of 1 star for their customer service. Thanks. My cable has been about 9 months. The original review is below. When setting up my 3 monitor setup with mDP and MST, I was just looking for ways to decrease the amount of cables cluttering up around the computer (I had 1 DP and 2 HDMI connected to 3 monitors before). We appeared in the office yesterday to find that we were seeing black screens on all three monitors but the PC was still working. As an initial precaution, I forced rebooted the PC because I was concerned the system might have crashed. I still haven't heard anything. During the last 30 minutes of testing, I switched cable and monitors in order to establish that the main mDP cable was the problem. I notice that the corner of the mDP connector has melted as I examine it closer. The mDP cable set worked with different set of devices. This is a poor quality product. Also, the connector is very thick, which does not appeal to me.

Using a PC to Breakout connector did not work with HTC Vive (30')
5/5

My goal to use this headset was to use my Vive in a room without a This cable did not work with the Vive since it failed to recognize the device. As a complement to this purchase, I purchased a 15' DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable from Cable Matters (Mini DP to DP) in black 15 feet I used the Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt 2 ports and they worked properly. It was really costly for this cable to cost 75$ and I didn't notice any improvement in picture quality or video while using it. Although, it was not really stressed about bandwidth (4K, etc). Overall, I found the cable to be good, but for my use, it did not seem to provide any additional benefits over generic cables that I had been using for over a decade. It does not work for my HTC Vive, I'm not sure whether the length was too much, or if the 4K was faster than the HDMI (I expected to make up for the longer HDMI cable for my Vive), but the 15' Display port worked perfectly for.

If you are looking for a thin model first, be sure to choose one that is ultrathin
5/5

The cable is good quality, but it could It is set up as a dual monitor setup in a vertical configuration, and the bottom monitor is a 4k portable The signal is four kilobits per second and functions normally. Despite being fairly thin, the cable is as thick as some of my power cables, and that makes it more challenging to route and hide. People often equate thicker cables with higher quality, but the truth is that it doesn't matter how thick the cable is as long as the signal goes As a matter of fact, I could use them exclusively since my 4k 60 hdmi cables are only a fourth as thick.

Depending on how you look at it, it appears to be made of quality materials and it sends a signal. My answer is that my Amazon customer support wants me to talk about picture quality and screen quality, but those terms are unrelated to digital cables. You are either going to be able to watch or not, and the rest is up to you.

An excellent solution for connecting your new Cintiq if you just bought one
5/5

As I was trying to connect my computer to my tablet, I had the worst problem. A USB flash drive I have There was no way to connect my tablet to my video card using the USB C port, so I researched every possible way to use the HDMI ports on my video card to connect to my tablet. The price of a new video card would have almost been the same as installing this old card. Instead, I grabbed an old card with a DisplayPort port (NVIDIA GTX 960), and You are connected to the tablet right away! Cable Matters is grateful for your support! As I mentioned, I needed to use the included "Link Adapter" that came with my tablet to make it work, but once I got my hands on this, everything worked wonderfully! I didn't have to purchase any additional cables since the tablet came with everything I needed. As you can see, it is considerably longer than the USB cable Furthermore, I am able to work while sitting comfortably thanks to the C cable. The Christmas present I received from my parents can now be used!.

The HTC Vive can be extended by 15 feet with this
5/5

There can be difficulties finding long cables of a decent quality on Amazon, since all the reviews are merged There are times when the 6 foot cable has improved the review score, but the 15 or 20 foot cable is not bought as often, but is never used. It has been good to use this cable, however. This 15 foot version meets my needs for connecting my PC to an HTC Vive. That means it must draw two 1080p images every 90 seconds (one for each eye), which requires an extreme amount of processing power. That test gives me a good idea of what this cable can do. Since I was able to use the next room over as my VR room, which has much more space than the room where my computer is, I no longer have to use the upstairs room.
